Thanks for the recommendation SanFran.
I'd like to recommend the following on Netflix. Both are very good and I enjoyed watching them.
2024 Limited Series, 6 episodes of American Primeval - "The lives of settlers, Native Americans and the Mormon militia collide in this historical saga about the brutal struggle for survival in the Old West".
2015 Movie, Heart of The Sea - "Stranded far from land and hunted by a massive whale, desperate sailors must survival brutal trials in this Ron Howard drama inspired by a true story".

Just completed Pop Star Academy. The contestants work for two years, 6 days a week, 12 hours a day in LA in a Korean training school to become a girl band of 5 by the producer of BTS.
They are not told until they are down to 20 members that they are now in a "survivor" show when people all over the world vote every week. So they have to develop followers thru on-line media. I got 3 members right.

Just One Look - a new limited series by Harlan Coben. It's only six episodes at 45 min. so it's an easy watch. It is Polish but with English dubbing and subtitles it wasn't really a problem.
(I prefer his British mysteries but I'll take a Harlan Coben series whatever way I can get it).

Anyone watch Adolescence? I had a hard time understanding their accents sometimes, so thick. Even with the subtitles.
Took me a few tries to get through.The youth were appalling.

Maybe you hit the nail on the head, perhaps it was the subject matter I didn't like.
Good acting though, I will say that.

I watched Adolescence. I really liked it.
The filming was exceptional with each of the four episodes filmed in one take.
It is a tough watch, but the subject matter is so important. It's about the emotions and psychology around being a teenage boy in our world today. The last episode is particularly moving. It is not graphic at all -- no bloody or violent scenes.
The entire show made me think and it will stay with me for a while.

my 23 year and and I both watched Adolescence. It's very thought provoking. That young actor is just amazing. His first time working and ep 3 was filmed first and was his first time on film! It's a show that doesn't have any big twist or revelations. It just quietly gets under your skin. Just shows that a story doesn't need a lot of noise or quick edits or fast action to be compelling.

Has anyone else watched Ransom Canyon? It’s not earth shattering tv but enjoyable.
Josh Duhmael is a rancher fighting to keep his ranch from a power company who wants to build a pipeline. Also has James Brolin and Minka Kelly and others that you would recognize if not their names.
More light hearted than so many shows now,which was welcome to me. I enjoyed it!

Ransom Canyon is in my Watchlist. A friend of mine watched it said it was good but she'll be really upset if there isn't a S2.

Okay, I tried to watch Ransom Canyon yesterday but it is a little to "Hallmarky" for my taste. I'm anti-Hallmark and anti-Lifetime. I gave up after 15 minutes.

I started the new season of You and I am half way thru ep 2 and it is boring. I didnt watch the last couple of seasons but Angela from Handmaid's Tale is on this season so it intrigued me. She cant even make me want to watch it anymore

I just finished watching Adolescence. It's dark and intense and kept me interested. I learned some new stuff about bullying on social media.
The young actor who played the son did an amazing job with his role. I also felt the actor playing his dad did the same. I felt so sorry for the dad in the end.
