I wouldn't say that Hartley doesn't have "much acting range". Hartley would have to be given a role that challenges him to be a different kind of person to see what kind of range he has. In other words, he's being typecast as a handsome and successful good guy who's great at his finding-lost-people-and-horses-job. He'd have to be given a part with more range (as a serial killer or drag queen or something) to compare his talent in totally different roles.

I'll keep watching Tracker, too. It's an easy watch, unlike a lot a lot of other complicated shows I spend time on.

I just wanted to point out that I'm not criticizing Justin Hartley's talent...I'm criticizing the writers for making a formulaic show that Justin (or any other actor) could be successful with if they remember their lines.

I've been noticing alot of the shows I watch are currently experiencing lackluster writing. I was out on a teacher's strike for only 5 days and it took me a year to recover emotionally and financially. I can't imagine what it was like for tv writers to be out of work for as long as they were. I think it may be awhile before they get their full stride back again. At least that is the excuse I'm going with for the many shows I used to like.

SanFran, I'm not sure it would be as successful with another actor. I do think Hartley is very likeable and thus part of its charm.

"SanFran, I'm not sure it would be as successful with another actor."

I think if they had put, for instance, Bradley Cooper or Matt Bomer or Jensen Ackles in that role, it would actually be more successful...OR if they just got better writers.

I found an article where Hartley talks about his perspective of Kevin vs Colter.

Hartley is executive producer on Tracker and Ken Olen, director on This is Us, joined Hartley in creating Trackers.

I can confirm Sanfran’s suggestion that Renegade Nell (on Disney+) is very enjoyable. Easy watching and engaging.

I also watched Ridley on Netflix, and while holding your interest, the characters just aren’t very charismatic or even likable. We watched The Talented Mr Ripley this afternoon to compare, and the contrast was so clear, right from the start you felt empathy for Tom, and an attraction to Dickie.

Although I have Paramount+ through Amazon, I can only watch Showtime (where The Talented Mr Ripley is) through the separate Paramount+ app, which is weird.

Jeopardy Masters is back! So much fun to watch all these super smart, great people. Going in I am rooting for Mattea and James, as well as Amy, but Victoria definitely deserved to be on there this 2nd season of "Masters".

I do not like Rogesh but I do enjoy all the others. Victoria does know her stuff.

Hacks is back! Season 3 on Max. If you haven't watched this series with Jean Smart, you are missing out! She plays an aging comic on the Vegas scene.

I like Jeopardy Masters. Lucky for me, they show it the next day on Hulu. My OTA recording did not record this week.

Yep, it was me! I haven't watched yet. Maybe later tonight. I'm still ticked they cancelled "Astrid and Lilly Save the World". That show and Reginald made for a fun night.

Episode 5 (One Day) of Hacks...was maybe one of my favorite episodes of any series I've seen! Deborah's reminiscing over life (while in the woods) and how we think of it as we get older was so poignant. I just love this series

I found the most awesome TV show from 1972 that I had never heard of!

It's an anthology called "Ghost Story" but later they
changed the name to "Circle of Fear.

It's in the same category as shows like Night Gallery or Twilight Zone, but it's a little different. It's hosted by Sebastian Cabbot and you won't believe the huge stars that are in the episodes. I'm on episode 4 and I'm hooked. This ep I'm on now has James Franciscus and Meg Foster and more.

The episodes are listed newest to oldest, so be sure to change it to oldest to newest and watch them in the correct order.

I actually used to watch that...back then...but in Italy, dubbed in Italian. Everyone's voice back then was the same dozen people that did dubbing...but they gave Sébastien Cabot a voice very near his own

That was one of the best Jeopardy finals with champs in memory - Victoria definitely deserved to win after dominating all tournament but the final (two games) was SO good even if it was clear Victoria would win at the very very end. Loved the tie, tie, tie, tie, tie back and forth between Victoria and James in the first game :-)

There is a new game show with Patton Oswalt on Fox (and Prime) The 1% Club. Looks good, and not silly. Premiers Monday June 3

"Amazon Prime's remake of the British series The 1% Club is a show where contestants answer questions and compete for money, using logic and common sense"

SINCE, that looks good, so I'll look into it. Besides, I like Patton Oswalt.
