Noooooooooo , because I associate the relationship between Jensen and Jared too closely with the relationship between Dean and Sam. And because they are guest stars (well, not Jensen), and I am thinking about Supernatural while watching, it would hit too on the nose for me and I'd be sad. I'm mean I'd get over it pretty quickly , but I wouldn't like it. That episode of Supernatural with Dean dying over and over again devastated me! It was funny the first few iterations but then think how desperate Sam would have got to save him and how every second of every day (until that day's death) would be terrifying, watching every angle for every danger. And he went through that every day for over three months! That was my trouble - or joy - with Supernatural, I felt every feeling with Sam and most of them with Dean.

I guess I just have a darker perception with some things...like bad things happening to fictional characters. I do have some emotional reactions with the Supe Boys, but when the scene or ep is over, so are my feelings of empathy. That's probably why I can enjoy grisly horror movies without fear of nightmares! I totally understand your over-the-top, "I'm-your-number-one-fan!" empathetic feelings that rival those of Annie Wilkes on Misery, though. (as long as you don't own a sledge hammer that has the Supe Boys name engraved on it!) You do get that I'm just messing with you, right?(except for the part of my super power ability to watch a show and promptly forget about the horror and/damage that plagued the characters) --- Btw, have you gotten any further in Lexx?

Your poor cold heart . Let me hug it better I gave up on Lexx! I watched all of S1E1 for the pure spectacle of it, then watched S2E1 to see what it was like, but although much more ~traditional~ I didn’t care enough about anyone to watch any more of them. Definitely a weird one!

"I gave up on Lexx! I watched all of S1E1 for the pure spectacle of it, then watched S2E1 to see what it was like" Well, you know what they say...No one remembers the entree if you serve turds in a blanket for the appetizer. But at least you tried... ---------- Have you seen "Glitch"? https://www.imdb.com/title/tt4192782/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0_tt_8_nm_0_in_0_q_glitch Very Good! or My Bloody Valentine (2009) starring Jensen Ackles? (bad tv movie that could've been been a Supe episode if Jarod was also in it.) https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1179891/?ref_=fn_t_1 or Dark (2017) (German series but IMDB lists the language as both German and English so it likely has a second audio track) https://www.imdb.com/title/tt5753856/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0_tt_8_nm_0_in_0_q_dark Very good! I think the only other sci-fi epic series I'd suggest (not that you need my suggestion to entertain yourself ) would be Babylon 5, which I think you've seen already. I rewatched it around the time "fake news" was becoming a mainstream thing here in the US. I was shocked to see real life news being portrayed in a 25 year old sci-fi show. Space politics were as twisted as the US's current politics. I expected it to feel dated, but I think it held up nicely. My only gripe with it was that they replaced the main character starting with s02.....but I got over it because Bob Boxleitner was much better!

I enjoyed Glitch, and Dark, although to be honest I did get a bit lost with Dark, I couldn't remember who was who in the various times. I have not seen My Bloody Valentine... just checked and it is available on Amazon Prime here, but leaves on Friday!! I will try to watch that before it goes. Hubby and I started Babylon 5 and have seen at least a season, but I think we gave up on it, I can't remember why. Interesting that it's kind of current, there seems like there were quite a few prescient shows, predicting these times, even though very much intended as fiction. Tonight we are going to start The Boroughs, which is a new Netflix show, with good reviews, produced by the Duffer brothers. Good cast, hopefully it is as good as they say!

Don't forget....I did say My Bloody Valentine was a "bad movie". But then it does feature Jensen. "Hubby and I started Babylon 5 and have seen at least a season, but I think we gave up on it" It got better when they switched out the main character, "Sinclair" and replaced him with actor, Boxleitner....after season 1. Did you see my post in "Random Discussions" about "The Boroughs"? I wound up watching it all in a day...great cast and unique story. I think you'll really like it.

How could it be bad if we get to watch Jensen? I was also thinking of watching the Friday the 13th remake with Jared in it, it was quite panned, but might be fun to see him. I think I did see and note your comment about the Boroughs, but didn't look it up at the time, then ran across it again when it was promoted to me on the Netflix front page. By which time obviously I'd forgotten everything I had read about it before . I've watched the first episode, and liked it except the monsters are a bit... easy to spot, lol. I was expecting the monster to be hidden in human form.

Don't worry about unfulfilled expectations for The Boroughs...just when you have it all figured out it takes a quick left...or a u-turn...or it just spins around several times.

Yeah, it's quite a fun ride. I tried to watch a bit of Jensen's movie right before bed, but stopped after a few minutes as it was loud and gory and not really a before bed kind of movie. Wow is there something awful about it! It's like it's filmed as if it's a soap or something, everything seems like a kid directed it. Only seen a little of Jensen so far, but maybe he can elevate it...

I take it back! I watched another 45mins or so, and it's only the first few minutes in the mine that are very very very horribly awful. After that ("ten years later"), it's not been too bad at all! Unusual to hear Jensen act with his normal voice, usually he's gravelly.

Ya know, YBV was released in 3D! I bet you'd love to see Jensen reaching out of the screen to grab you!

I thought the gory bits were filmed in a kind of in your face way. I spent a lot of it behind my fingers but I did finish it. I also spent quite a while trying to work out if the killer had bow legs. Looks like they intended to have a Be My Valentine 2... not surprised that didn't happen! Jensen can reach out to me, but not that way .

Jensen Ackles did the commencement speech at the Academy his children (I believe) go to. Very nice speech about unexpected turns and keeping wanting more, and also about finding a partner on the way, like he did in Jared (awww). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TpOjLI294Jw Sanfran, twice he mentions starring in a "horror movie that no one watched" lol.
