FWIW, everything I've heard is that Fantasy Island was a pretty low budget operation. The series was done under a low-cost business model, so its threshold for success was lower. But Fox still decided to have the sun set on its summer series. https://deadline.com/2023/05/fantasy-island-canceled-fox-1235361503/

I am loving Lopez vs. Lopez. Which is weird since I didn't like George's other sitcom.

Wilson are these all shows that have filmed and wrapped so are not effected by the writers strike? Just curious to know if the networks have a bank of shows so don't have to really work to solve the strike. TIA.

Lockwood & Co cancelled by Netflix. Lopez vs. Lopez renewed by NBC. Transplant renewed by NBC. (This is a Canadian show that was renewed by the Canadian broadcaster, but NBC had declined to pick up the extra seasons. Now they will (presumably because of the writers' strike?). It's a good show.) 61st Street which was cancelled by AMC after season 2 had already been filmed but not aired(!), will air on the CW with the already aired S1.

It's official: we watch nothing on NBC anymore -- except maybe football. Maybe not even that, cause hubby streams the Red Zone on Hulu. I'm disappointed about Alaska Daily. We were enjoying it.

Wow….no more nbc scripted shows on my line up…. Gone are the days of ER, West Wing, Third Watch, Friday Night Lights, even years back with homicide life on the streets ….now it’s only The Voice and AGT for me. Still will watch a lot on other networks… Fox with Accused, 9-1-1 lone star, alert… abc with the good doctor, rookie (and rookie feds if renewed), will Trent, 9-1-1, the connors is the only sitcom I was watching …cbs with equalizer …..I do watch all American but only when it lands on a streaming service….

I’m looking for some scripted television, of course with the strike right now… I haven’t tried any of the Law and Order shows or the Chicago shows. Greys has become unwatchable and Call The Midwife just ended the season. I might try the one with James Spader.

I just realized we hardly watch any network TV anymore. On ABC, we only watch The Good Doctor and Will Trent. On CBS, we watch NCIS: Hawaii. We watch virtually nothing anymore on Fox, NBC or the CW. We watch a lot of Prime, BritBox, Acorn and Netflix these days. Also Paramount+ and Peacock. Network TV has become a dinosaur.

And I rarely watch anything on streaming except for The Challenge, 1883 and 1923 on P+. I haven't watched Prime in well over 6 months. I still love my Real Housewives and other Bravo shows, NCIS on Mondays, LOVE my FBI on Tuesdays (CBS), Wednesday Survivor and L&O Thursdays. I would say about 95% of my viewing habits are cable TV and 5% is streaming - TOPs!!!

Lexie, I broke down and got Peacock so I could watch all the reruns of the Bravo shows. They took them off the Bravo channel. I will admit it came in very handy to watch all Vanderpump Rules past seasons to see what a douche bag Sandoval really is. We should have listened to Kristen. But Sandoval gaslighted everyone not to believe her.
