I thought this show got good ratings. 
I liked it bc it’s one of the few shows that doesn’t have some kind of political agenda.

I also love Fantasy Island. At least all the loose ends were tied except for why Segundo is so old and what/who is the Monster in his shed.

Damnit! Fantasy Island is one of my fave escapist shows. I'm shocked, disappointed, and furious. Any chance it can be moved to another network or streaming company?

Sometimes in the couple of days after a cancellation there are stories about it being shopped to other networks, I'll let people know if I see any. I'm seeing that about Walker Independence (but no guarantee it would work).

My days of being disappointed by TV show cancellations are behind me... I RARELY watch new shows... My recent exceptions being Ghosts... Call Me Kat (I will watch anything with Leslie Jordan in it.. RIP) and Animal Control ( I will watch anything with Joel McHale)...
If a show makes it a year or 2 I may decide to start watching... lol
i've been burned too many times in the past.

Yeah, Kitt... and weird that 911 was moved to another network instead of being canceled as well, while the spinoff is staying on Fox.

with all these new limited series shows, I can just enjoy a show for however long it stays on the air - disappointed if cancelled but still will have more episodes then some of the streaming shows that only have like 4, 8, 10 episodes...

I'm also disappointed about Fantasy Island. I just finished watching the last two episodes. It was such a sweet show and almost always had a happy ending. It was great escapism. I'll miss it.
I'm realizing we watch less and less network programming these days. We tend to lean toward the Brit shows on PBS, PBS Masterpiece, BritBox and Acorn. Also shows on Netflix, Paramount+, Peacock and Prime. Hubby has no patience for commercials anymore.

There has been such an uproar about the cancelation of Fantasy Island, I suspect that there are some other Networks or streaming services that are considering it.
I wonder if the platform of the show itself was no longer feasible? Having to feature several celebrities every episode as opposed to only having the same cast? Maybe that was too difficult or too expensive?

That’s what I was thinking that it must be too expensive to film. I enjoyed seeing all the old stars from times past, I hope someone picks it up.
