I did not enjoy Swoosie in Mike and Molly either. I don’t think she makes a good comedic actress, drama is much better for her. The actress that plays Randi is nails on a chalk board to be. Don’t know if it’s the character role or her acting.

I agree that she’s miscast in Call Me Kat. While I like the show, I think they could easily recast about 50% of the cast and improve it. Now that Leslie Jordan is gone, I’m not sure it will survive without changes. Leslie made the show. Such a loss.

I agree that most of Call Me Kat is miscast. Actually, everybody. I liked Mayim in The Big Bang Theory. There is zero chemistry between Kat and Max. Aside from the late Mr. Jordan, who was a limited actor but almost always a hoot to watch, the rest if the cast is awful.
It is a shame as the original source material, Miranda was comedy gold, even the episodes that were more bronze compared to Call Me Kat.

1899 was a big disappointment. It was beautifully made and photographed with spectacular visuals but the story was ultimately unsatisfying. I can’t imagine what they would have done with a second season anyway.

Really? I thought it was funny. I'm sure I missed some of the British specific jokes but overall it was a hoot. Some of the bits still make me laugh, breast clap for example.
Different jokes for different folks I guess.

Not surprised about 1899. Very slow moving and nearly pointless to spend 7+ hours to get to two minutes of "conclusion" that didn't explain much. I'm glad it's cancelled so I don't have to wonder if season 2 would help!

I never heard of most of these shows. Some are not available to me and others not of interest, or simply no time to watch or room to record. I watched one episode of Fire Country and bailed out of that. Same with so help Me Todd.
I do love Ghosts.

Yay! Minx is a funny show...I was born in 1950 so I remember much of the hoopla, the lawsuits, and the birth of "sexual revolution" of the 70s...not the details, but the way sex actually became a topic of discussion for the first time, in my life anyhow.

Just saw that Warrior Nun, previously canceled by Netflix, has been revived! HBO Max rescued it! But it won't be on til 2024.
