It was really good, but I can't figure out if it is just a movie or a series. I think it is a movie that is going to be a series of movies rather than what I thought initially.

It's just a movie. But there could additional movies every so often like with those "Mystery 101" movies. I think those come out 2 year, sometimes only 1.
