I enjoy watching Buzzr on the Roku channel. All game shows. Particularly Super Password.

Searched "Harry Potter" yesterday. Watched a really strange movie with Rupert Grint called "Moonwalkers". Ron Perlman also starred in it. It was quite violent. Not something you'd think of Ron Weasley being in.

They've been advertising what I thought was a movie. Looked it up last night planning to watch it. Found out it's a whole series already has 6 seasons. No desire to start all that. So watched another episode of "Lost" instead.

It's "Teen Wolf" they've been advertising. I'd like to see the one they've been showing. Is it the first episode of the first season?

I watched the first two episodes of Teen Wolf last night. Season 1. I will probably watch a few more, but don't know about all six seasons. I enjoyed it.

As I said, I enjoy watching Password, especially Super Password. I noticed the earlier ones they don't allow the contestants to say an opposite word as the clue, but they definitely allow it on the later (newer shows) so when did it change?

And there's a new Password show starting Tuesday. Wonder if they will allow opposites as clues? Guess will find out.

I've also noticed the PlutoTV streaming channel has a lot of the same channels that the Roku channel has. The bad thing is they both only have online tv guides. Makes it hard to plan to watch stuff in advance.

You know, it's funny. Of course, this doesn't make it true. But I always thought Charles Nelson Reilly was gay, but then I've seen him on "Tattletales" with his "wife".

Reilly had a fake wife, not a real one. His life partner was a man named Patrick Hughes III.

Personal Relationships

"Many might recall Charles Nelson Reilly pairing up with actress Elizabeth Allen on the ’70s show “Tattletales.” This pairing led some to believe they were husband and wife. However, this was a misconception. Charles, who was openly gay, had a beautiful relationship with Patrick Hughes III starting from 1980."

Charles Nelson Reilly, RIP

<snip>

"Like Paul Lynde (who also flourished on game shows), Reilly was one of the few openly gay performers on TV 35 years ago. Well, not openly, but hardly secretive either. For many viewers, Reilly may have been their first introduction to camp. (It’s hard to imagine there’s ever been a campier villain on kids’ TV than Horatio J. Hoodoo, the green-skinned magician Reilly played on Lidsville, a truly bizarre show from psychedelic Saturday morning auteurs Sid and Marty Krofft.) His TV ubiquity served as a lifelong rebuke to the TV exec who had told him, “They don’t let queers on television,” and may have provided an inspiration to some of today’s casually gay stars."

Recently Roku has added even more channels. National Lampoon, Miramax, PBS Retro, Big Dig Dish to name a few. I'm darned if I can find what the actual "channels" are for each one. They all just say they are on the Roku channel, which is actually over 300+ channels in the Roku channel umbrella.

Hecka I don't spend a lot of time on Roku channels...but the only way I have found...to find channels corresponding to networks, without manually scrolling through a thousand channels on the menu is: go to the "search" in the Roku Home menu and type in what you are looking for....example PBS Retro...it will appear to the right of the keyboard. So if I click on PBS Retro it will take me to that channel. THEN I press the directional button to the left and it brings up the menu and shows me what channel I'm actually on. So PBS Retro is on 402 (at least in my area) and you can then save to "favorites". I can scroll ahead for about 10/11 days to see what is upcoming.

As far as I know, there is no way to see what is going to be on live Roku other than this way. Maybe someone else has had success in discovering it lol very frustrating for sure!

Okay, thank you. I actually have to search on the main Roku page. How do you scroll ahead? It's the same channel for me, too. PBS retro is on 402. Still aggravating. Miramax is on 335. I haven't looked up anymore.

You scroll ahead by pressing the directional button to the right.Thats the toggle button in the middle that goes up/down/right/left. If you want, I can try to look up any channels you can't locate.

The thing I hate worst with Roku is not being able to punch in the channel you want. You have to scroll through all the channels. And also no slow motion. Seems an easy thing to offer

Would this help you guys?

I have an old Roku but rarely use it. It has a voice control in the remote so I looked it up and found this:

How to Access Secret Roku Menu for Removing Ads

https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&v=lFsZS_nyfxM

--------

That secret page has lots of things you can do if you know how to access it.....not sure about finding channels, though.

I already saw that article and tried that. Didn't notice any difference lol. I also have the voice control remote.

The channel changing and the no slow motion is a known defeat of Roku. Very frustrating. I have Roku because it allows me to watch Spectrum on all of our TVs without having to pay for a receiver for each room

I have Roku because my oldest brother gave it to me. And you can get a lot of free tv with it. Over 300+ channels and more being added if you can find them.
