Naja....The One....on Netflix Canada is about a company who uses your DNA to match you with your perfect partner. Many side stories, don't want to give too much away. So good!!!
Oh another good Netflix watch that is filmed in Canada is The Coroner. Very well written. Keeps you interested.

"The One" uses the exact same premise as "Soul Mates" (that aired on AMC last October)...in the not too distant future, technology allows for people being able to find their true "soul mate" or to find "the one".
Tomatoes, To-mah-toes.
However, IMHO, "The One" is far superior with one (more complicated) story told over 10 episodes. "Soul Mates" was an anthology series....each one of it's 6 episodes had a different story.

Sanfranjoshfan....interesting! I would like to watch "Soul Mates" just to see now! I just checked on my TV which has Prime, Crave & Netflix as well AMC and it couldn't be found. Too bad.

Mizinvanccouver, "Soulmates: is streaming on Amazon Prime - via the AMC+ streaming option. There is a free trial so you could probably do the trial period and be able to watch all six episodes.
Maybe you couldn't find it because I typed the title incorrectly. It's all one word: "Soulmates", not Soul Mates. (my bad)

I will look into it! My tv has voice recognition so I just said," Soul Mates". However you are correct, it put the two words together!!! I will type it in manually and see what happens.

Started watching The One last night, and we love it! Watched 4 episodes in one night, which is unusual for us. Basic premise is that a women starts a company that matches people up for life based on DNA, which causes millions of people to divorce their spouses to be with their "match." Also a murder mystery in there, plus multiple twists and turns. We're really enjoying it.

We watched Concrete Cowboy on Netflix last night. I had not read a review in advance but I had seen that the reviews were very positive. So, I had no idea what the story was about but had high expectations. I could have used a few hundred less n-words but that is the only thing not absolutely glowing I have to say. It is an incredible father, son movie against the backdrop of the black horse culture in north Philadelphia.
The story is fictional but based in a real world. Check out this Wikipedia page and then enjoy the film!
Fletcher Street Urban Riding Club is a non-profit organization devoted to inner-city horsemanship in north Philadelphia.
Part of a century-long tradition of black urban cowboys and horsemanship in Philadelphia, local horsemen maintain and care for horses and teach neighborhood youth to do so. They encourage academic excellence and provide positive ways for local youth to spend their leisure time outdoors.

Really enjoying Virgin River. The scenery alone is amazing! The actress who plays "Mel" was "Sophie" (Kevin's high school GF/wife) on This is Us. Also Annette O'Toole and Tim Matheson are both in it.
