Yay, Outlander! I saw a promo last night that shows they're in production for the next season. They normally only do eight episodes a season. It just goes too fast!

Babyjaxmom, I used to think it had two 8-episode blocks each season, but that only happened in season 1. I think I was just confusing it with the format of TWD.
Outlander did have a total of 16 episodes in season one (8 eps and then a hiatus of several months, followed by another 8 eps)....but every season starting with season 2 has had 13 episodes each....except maybe for the upcoming season 6.
Season 6 may only have 12. Wikipedia only has 1 ep listed for s06 (so far), but IMDB/com shows 12.
The good news is that you'll have 5 (6?) eps more than you expected this coming season!

I wish they would give some clarity around "Cancelled". Because when a show goes in to film their final season, sometimes it's because the show feels it's done, or the actors are done and ready to move on. I like this show a lot, but I'd rather they go out on a high note that concludes things, than linger on and lose their way.

Thanks for the info, SFJF! I forgot that Outlander has 12/13 episodes a season. Still seems too short and goes too fast. Those lazy Brits (๐) and their short TV seasons! So many of the shows we stream only have 6-8 episodes a season. American TV shows (on network TV anyway) seem to have closer to 20+ episodes. We're spoiled.

Babyjax, my mum (in England) told me she saw a really good new mystery on tv the other night, and asked me to look up how many episodes there would be, as she can't see it on the tv guide for next week.
TWO. There are TWO episodes this season! And the next isn't until some time in the summer!

The show is called "Grace," it's a dramatization of one of the Peter James novels about Inspector Grace. The first episode was called "Dead Simple." It sounds like the whole book was in the 2 hour episode.

Kitt, DH and I have really been enjoying the Brit police shows, especially the ones that take place in Wales, Ireland, Scotland or Yorkshire (I know that's a county ). We love the beautiful scenery and all the rain. We live in California and don't get a lot of rain these days.
Right now we're watch a show called "Harrow," which takes place in Australia.
I'll look for "Grace." We actually don't like to get into shows that have a million episodes, so sometimes we like a show with fewer eps.
