was Murphy Brown reported as cancelled? I was reading an article that there was an order for x many shows and there has not been another offer but I was on my phone in a line and don't remember where I saw it before. The article said it was not so much cancelled as much as no new shows have been ordered. I see it is listed as a long shot on TVline

From the very beginning, they said 13 shows and no more. I think it's just wishful thinking on the fans' part they will change their minds and make more before it's too late. I'm still wishing.

The article says they were simply ending when the order was done, not can cancelled. That's what I said and what has been said in he show thread. What we are waiting on is for the network to change their minds and order more.

Vikings cancelled by History channel. The upcoming season will be its last.
Apparently there may be a spin off show.

Not surprised Vikings has been canceled. It has been on for several seasons. I just don't know how much further they could go with the story. I just hope they kill off Ivar before it's done.

By "upcoming", do you mean NEXT season or the one that's airing right now?
They are doing things with their season/episode numbering that's pretty confusing. What's airing right now is still season 5, which started on Nov 29 2017. They aired 10 eps, ending on Jan 24 2018. Then they went on "yatus"  until Nov 28, 2018 and they're now airing the final 10 episodes of season 5.
There is a season 6 listed at IMDB.COM but no airdates. It is also 20 episodes, so I wonder if they're going to air season 6 the same way....10 eps, then on yatus for almost a year, and then air the next 10 eps next fall (2020).
I guess I just don't understand what "season" means anymore.

It will finish this season and have a whole 'nother season after that. So a full 20 episode season 6 should still air.
