LOL, Sadiesmom, taxi companies actually do a deeper background check than Uber/Lyft, but I think that has been changed some.
I still do taxis but I was pleasantly surprised by Lyft when I needed to go to a wedding, much cheaper than a cab.
I can't even imagine imposing on my friends like Sheldon does! Commuting to work is one thing, but he should manage his errands on his on.

I took a Kansas City cab home from the hospital one time last month after visiting my DH, and my cabbie would not stop talking to me. He was a nice guy, but after spending 8 hours at a hospital, I just wanted a nice quiet ride.

They do not use a laugh track. People are laughing because it is funny.

I'll bet they augment the audience laughing with a laugh track... anyway... I do enjoy the show. Sometimes I wish it wasn't so Sheldon-heavy. I like the other characters just a much.
