I only watched this show because I saw the director on a couple of talk shows promoting it. It has Tara from True Blood (Rutina Wesley). It's on the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) and is about a family of estranged siblings trying to pull together to work their father's sugar cane farm after he suddenly passes away. Have only seen the first episode so far, but I cried my eyes out.
Imdb rates it 7.2/10 and Rotten Tomatoes gave it a 91% approval rating. Check it out.

I liked it at first, but then I got bored. It also had a heavy feeling, like bad stuff was going to happen to all of them. Kind of oppressive. I like the actors, but I just can't.

I'm still in even though there is a somewhat sad story line. One thing I do like is the story line about New Orleans and raising sugar cane.
