I really got to ask cause it is bothering me..but what do they have against the second movie in trilogies? They have the Santa Clause 1 & 3 several times but no #2. Same with Home Alone weird isn't it?

Honest to goodness, some of these Hallmark or Lifetime Christmas movies are really bad, but I still watch them....LOL

I just finished watching "It's Christmas, Carol!" from 2012, and it was so bad but I still watched the whole thing.

Last night I watched an even worse one called "A Carol Christmas (2003)" starring Tori Spelling, but for some reason I even watched that one to the end, too. LOL

For 2 years I haven't been able to find the movie I actually love to watch every year, "The Christmas List", (starring Mimi Rogers). I keep checking the listings. Nothing yet.

PLease note all the posts above my last post are from last year.

ETA: right now I am watching 1996's "Jingle All The Way", with Arnold Schwarzenegger.

ETA again: I think it's very weird that my spellcheck knows the correct spelling for Schwarzenegger.

How about the plot where somebody has a great job, they lose it, they try something else and fall in love. The old job is offered to them with a bigger salary and more perks.

Love triumphs, they don't go back to the old job.

Or, Dogdoc, they're a bottom-of-the totem pole reporter sent to the small town to get the "big" Christmas story of their lives or they'll lose their job. And in the process they find the love of their life or they find the "true meaning" of Christmas.

Naja, check the regular Lifetime channel, I think they showed the Christmas List last weekend.

LOL, I was just thinking over the weekend that I must have seen too many of these movies because I can determine the plotline in about the first 5 minutes of the movie......but like Naja, I too watch them till the end.

hahahahaha, Terolyn.

I love White Christmas. I'm equal opportunity - I will watch it on Netflix and on commercial tv. Multiple times. I know some people love "It's a Wonderful Life" but for me it isn't Christmas without Bing and Rosemary, Donald and Vera. And those little ballerina dancers.

And someday I want to dress up in a black sparly dress with handsome young male dancers and sing the "Love, You Didn't Do Right By Me" song.

and of course you have the old standby of Aunt, Uncle, sister.. brother... having to take care of kids who are not their own but they struggle to keep the family together....

but they do, and find love, and have a merry Christmas.

Too funny, Roxip. Since I was a 6 year old girl and saw The Sound of Music for the first time I've always wanted to dress up in a pink chiffon dress and dance in a gazebo singing "Sixteen Going on Seventeen". I used to think that was something all girls must get to do when they were 16. Just turned 57 a week ago and still waiting...at this rate the song will change to "Sixty Going on Seventy".

To stay on topic, I love the cheesy Hallmark channel Christmas movies. Can watch the same ones over and over.

I watch all these cheesy movies too. Here is the list I always use...

http://itsawonderfulmovie.blogspot.com/2014/09/christmas-movie-tv-schedule-hallmark-up.html

It includes a lot of channels.

Naja, there used to be a good copy of The Christmas List (I like that one too) on You Tube. I just went and looked and couldn't find one.

Here's a site that helps you locate movies to watch.

My all time favourite movie is Alistair Sim in the 1951 version of A Christmas Carol ...love, love, love it!

I prefer the black and white version but will watch the colourised version, in a pinch.

Rupertbear, our Christmas Eve Family Tradition is to watch Alistair Sim's A Christmas Carol just before heading off to bed. Its as much a part of our celebration as the food and decorations. (Now that son and his fiance have moved to NB, we meet at my parents in Ontario and continue the tradition there.)

And I agree - black and white all the way!!!

I also like the 1938 one with Reginald Owen. I love the kid that plays Tiny Tim in that one.

I absolutely adore Christmas movies. Their intent is to make you feel warm, loved, and content. I try to watch as many as I can, including staying up last night until 2AM to watch a Ma and Pa Kettle movie set at Christmas time.

A couple of my favorites are Fitzwilly with Dick Van , Miracle on 34th Street (the B&W version with Natalie Wood), and The Santa Clause.

I love them so much, I collect them!

Mods: Is there any way to make note that the above list is from last year so people don't get confused when they go to watch a particular show and it's not on?
