I watched the first episode and it did nothing for me, I'll give Longmire another shot. Psst Melfie, Pablo reminds me of the man/boy that took my woman hood circa 1978, so I'm onboard with you.

Just a few days ago I heard narcos was good. Checked online to read about it. Great reviews there too. Didn't get around to watching it on Netflix yet, but surely will (especially now w/tvc h approvals too).

When I checked it found this on Netflix re subtitles:

Dh and I have always loved foreign films-no issue with subtitles. I even had dh read above article because we know many people don't enjoy movies with subtitles; and, not just Americans.

Narcos does sounds great but after having stuck with Sons of Anarchy for way too long, I am sick to death of all forms of criminals right now!

I have practically watched nothing else for six months or so. My favorite was Bloodline but also watched Mad Men, Friday Night Lights, and now half way through House of Cards. Need to catch up on current season of OITNB. My friend loved Hell on Wheels so I will check that out too.

We liked Bloodline so much that when I saw airfare rom DFW to Miami for $79 rt I bought them on impulse. We are planning on renting a convertible and driving down The Keys to Islamaorada where the show was filmed. Can't wait.

I have very happily been watching The Glades...a police drama with humor, a hunky detective and a love interest. I must say I find this show very enjoyable.

I did not go through the whole thread here just to be clear.

I want to know if "Strange Empire" has been mentioned?? I really like this show. It is full of strong woman with some weaker ones thrown in. It is a slice of life for woman when America was forming and the up and downs of what life is like for these woman. I am half way through the 13 episodes.

ok this is not a recommendation but I need somewhere to vent. I won't name any names so as not to spoil BUT I just binge watched a show with 49 episodes and loved every minute of them. Unfortunately the last episode was a HUGE cliff hanger AND THEN THE SHOW WAS CANCELLED!!!!! OMG I am alternating between sadness and anger....OMG I will never know .....can't say what I won't know but I won't know it....grrrrr}

Ticked me off too!!!! Obviously their cancellation came as a surprise or perhaps they thought a good hook would help them get a second chance. I loved that show, held out hope for awhile that they would wrap things up with a made for TV movie but alas... Maybe we could write Netflix, they did a fantastic job with Longmire.

Rissa, you are right and I was heartbroken when it ended that way...I think I invested too much in these characters..lol. Matt Passmore has done a few things since then, 2013, but not much. I would love to see him in something great again.
