YEp I have been through some of the old barracks/bomb shelter/ammunition storage places by the golden gate but it was many years ago, maybe 20, LOL. I should go out there again.

So is the true story this season the missing cop who was looking into the prostitution ring or maybe we are not going to have a season long investigation this time.

Dipo, I don't think Murder in the First is based on a true story.....but it does do a new season-long case each year. Murder in the First (TV series) <snip> "The website consensus reads: "Murder in the First fits happily into the over-arcing [sic] season-long murder mystery mold, offering pleasurably typical twists and natural, attention-grabbing characters"" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murder_in_the_First_%28TV_series%29

Texannie, at the link I posted above, it says: Overview "In the first season, San Francisco homicide detectives Terry English and Hildy Mulligan investigate what originally appear to be two unrelated murders. Ultimately, they learn both victims have ties to Silicon Valley prodigy Erich Blunt." ...So I wouldn't be surprised if they do something similar this year. In fact, the cop's murder happened while they were looking for the school bus shooters...so it already seems that there may be a connection between both murders.

After loving this show last season, I'm a little disappointed this season. I can't seem to follow that drug story line - I can't figure out who are all the players in that story line. Then we have the missing cop and the school bus shooting with the "blue on blue" murder.

LOL, I didn't mean true as in real, LOL. I meant the true case for the season. I thought it was going to be bus murders but they seem to have wrapped that up already. Unlike last year when they spent the whole season on pursuing one case. So I was thinking that the case (true case for this season) is them finding out what happened to the missing cop.

Either that or the investigation into who shot the cop in the tunnel. That's a pretty interesting story line too.

"LOL, I didn't mean true as in real, LOL." LOL I guess I've seen too many shows that start out with "Based on a true story"! I'm thinking the main story is about the cop's murder also....but it could have some connection to the bus shooters and or their families. But maybe not. I like that this show isn't as formulaic as most cop shows are these days and that it takes a meandering path to the final outcome. It's a more exciting ride when you don't know where the roller coaster is going to end up!

too funny SanFranJoshFan. I do like a good true crime but I go to Forensic Files for that.

I bet that cop (that is Jimny Cricket on Once Upon a time) is dirty and his storyline will intertwine with drug dealers....maybe the cop he shot was on to him being dirty

I get so lost. I need a little more 'hand feeding'. A bit less disjointed.

OG, you aren't alone. I find this season very confusing. They also mumble a lot which makes it much harder to understand what is going on.

I think I'll use 'captions' for the next episode. That should help some.

Pamy, I find the three stories going on at the same time to be annoying and confusing. OG, I have also thought about using the CC feature when watching this show. I don't remember the mumbling being this bad during the first season.

Lexie and Pamy, DH and I use CC on more and more shows these days. Don't know if people are mumbling more or our hearing is going, but I use it all the time. Especially on British shows or shows with accents. Sometimes my ears have difficulty discerning their words (like Johnny Lee Miller on Elementary).

I think it is confusing because they are doing multiple storylines this time. I like it when it was just one storyline.

The CC did help and made it easier to sort of figure out what was going on.
