Rosie O has a problem. She's getting to be nothing but a joke.

Wow. That's sad. I almost posted after today's show that it's getting harder and harder to watch her. She was talking about her adoration of Barbara Walters and I was thinking here we go again. If she and her wife separated back in November, that explains alot. She needs to go make some funny movies and get her comedy mojo back!

I've only watched The New View a few times because I was annoyed that once again the conservative voice was woefully outnumbered and even more so with a faux Republican. I tuned in for 5 minutes a few days ago and it was a bash fest on those "stupid"anti vaccination Republicans. Not one word about The antiV Democrats. When low information voters tune in they are under the impression that the anti vaccination folks are all Republican . It's always bugged me that such a one sided biased platform as The View or Daily Show can reach so many voters. I say either get an equally political and interesting panel or get rid of the show. I've always liked Rosie and want to see her in a different genre. I always liked seeing her acting. I wish her well.

<99> I am disappointed that Rosie is leaving as I really like this woman. She is generous, caring and outspoken ( a description I wouldn't mind) but she does have a tendency to go off the rails. I hope that once and for all she can find some level of personal peace and be happy. I really have a problem with Whoopi. To me she always has to have the last word and spends too much time pontificating. I felt that way when she first came on and it hasn't changed. Now that Rosie is leaving, I guess I will be too. I sorta liked Nicole except she backs down to all the other women on this show. Rosie Perez is much better than I thought she would be and I like her but she is not enough to keep me watching. There goes the 3rd longest running show on my DVR!

They didn't mention anything on today's show about Rosie leaving. I hate when they act like nothing is going on when we all know there is.

I was glad they didn't address it in a way. Why give it any more attention then they need to if she is going to up and leave everytime she isn't happy.

I haven't been watching the View this season. It was inevitable that Ro leave. I like her and agree with some of her politics but she's just painful to watch. She is diagnosed bipolar and obviously can't control her behavior. She should be doing scripted television, not live discussions. I feel bad for her.

She addressed it in a video blog- just not on the show. As a result of her heart attack, she has to 1) minimize stress, 2) eat right, and 3) exercise. She said that work stress is one stress she can control, so she's turning it down to zero. That will allow her to deal with family and those stresses better while minimizing danger to her health. She said she's very grateful that she has that option, and honestly - her health has to be more important than any talk show.

I actually enjoyed Rosie much more this time around than last. I did not catch a lot of shows but I left she tried to keep an even keel and express herself without getting "loud". Of course, I did miss a lot of shows but I felt her compassion for people and causes.

I have to laugh. Today Whoopi was bleeped out when she was complaining about the same viagra commercial I just hate where the woman is rolling around the bed.

I thought I read a report that Rosie is leaving the show, but will do "guest" spots, so that was why they weren't addressing the subject... for instance she will continue to do Rosie's Craft School - and that will be taped, Barbara Walters and her have taped a few that haven't been shown (from what I've read) But I imagine if the ratings aren't good for the segment, or if the ratings are better without her - then they won't continue....

And here I was thinking that one of the good things about Rosie leaving is there will be no more "crafts" segments. Today, they featured a 15 year old who has created her own jewelry line. That was a good segment but the craftsy stuff, especially with Barbara? - Not good.

Padma Lakshmi was a guest host today and I thought she did a really good job even if Rosie Perez felt the need to inform her how very wrong she was (sigh) and then Nicole jumped on Rosie's bandwagon. YOu know there's a way to state that you "see the situation differently" without slamming the other person that they are totally wrong. Some people need to stick to performing and forget about being on a talk show. It'll be interesting to see what happens with this show as Variety reports that Whoopi is doing a pilot for a prime time show Delores and Jermaine. There is also gossip floating around (as always) that Rosie's departure might affect Whoopi's ability to do that show. I call bull on that. If the pilot works, I bet she'll get to it.

Looks like she can't do the show according to this....but you know how quickly things change in television! ABC blocks Whoopi from leaving ‘The View' after Rosie’s exit <snip> Insiders say Goldberg was set to leave the daytime show to star in “Delores and Jermaine" — but due to O’Donnell’s exit, ABC execs blocked Goldberg from withdrawing as moderator of “The View.” <snip> Goldberg also said of her “View" gig, “I’m very happy. I’m working. I never put down the fact that I have a really good job, but I also have bosses. They make decisions … sometimes you don’t like them and you have to live with them.” http://pagesix.com/2015/02/17/abc-blocks-whoopi-from-leaving-the-view-after-rosies-exit/

What were Padma and Rosie talking about?

Granjan, Padma had brought up the topic of Alex Rodriquez and his letter of apology to his fans because he admitted to using performance enhancing drugs in the past. Padma brought up the Lance Armstrong situation as being similar and Perez about had a conniption fit saying there was no similarity at all.

Congrats to stacy London as she's been a guest cohost for a week or two now and she is a good blend for this group. She's not afraid to speek up but knows when to let others take over. Of all the guest co-hosts they've had recently, I think she's done the best so far.

Great show this week with 3 guest hosts ~ Stacy London, Raven-Symone and Cristela Alonzo. All three joined Nicolle and Whoopi and what a difference it makes when they're all "happy" women! Yes, you can have strong (and different) views without being angry. Who knew?!

Kappy, I agree with you. I would be more inclined to watch (record) if there were more happy women on the show... and if they had previews that included something that would be of interest to me... Now I might actually tune in to see what Monica has to say... but I have a feeling that after 2-3 shows I will once again forget this show is even on... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3012718/Who-needs-Rosie-O-Donnell-Monica-Lewinsky-tapped-Barbara-Walters-bring-mojo-View-make-runaway-success-was.html

Now that NBC is going to do The Wiz in December, people have started to "dream" cast it and of course many people can see Whoopie in some role or other. I'd say she'd be a great ad to the cast but if she's still with The View, I'd say ABC would nix that idea.
