I really enjoyed Thursday Murder Club. Once I started watching I realized I hadn’t got very far in the book.

I'm about to sit down and watch part 2 of the Charlie Sheen doc. It's pretty interesting! I can't wait until they get the 2.5 Men years.

New series up today- House of Guinness The latest historical drama series from Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight follows the heirs to the Guinness brewing company—specifically, four adult Guinness siblings in 1860s Dublin—following the death of their father, Sir Benjamin Guinness, then the wealthiest man in Ireland. All eight episodes stream today, so you'll need at least a couple of four-packs. http://https://www.metacritic.com/news/tv-premiere-dates/

Thanks Rieann... House of Guinness will be joining the other 47 shows I have in my Netflix watchlist - not to be confused with all the watchlists I have on other streaming sites.

Well, I started a show because of the positive feedback from you guys. The Thursday Murder Club. Almost halfway through, there was a new character and when he spoke he sounded just like Tom Ellis ("Lucifer")...but when he turned around he didn't look like TE, but he looked like some actor with the same build and "type". I finally just looked it up IMDB and is indeed Tom Ellis. He's now a grown up, hunky man instead of the younger pretty man-boy of lucifer. Here's a screen grab from the movie:

I have been watching the House of Guinness and it is a bit of an eye opener. I was born in Ireland, Dublin to be exact. I went to boarding school in Ireland when my father was assigned to a position in NY. We went back every summer when school let out and stayed in Dublin. Dublin had a social circle when I was growing up where the Guinnesses were active. My family were acquainted with the Guinneses. I had no idea they were protestants. This may not mean much to most of you but it is significant if you are from the republic. I had no idea they were anti fenian. This is a total shift for me.

I started watching Black Rabbit last night and it seemed a little slow. Of course, I was a little tired so that could have been the problem. Is it worth me sticking with?

Honestly I can't recommend Black Rabbit. It's dark. And I can handle dark if I'm rooting for someone, but this show just left me cold. It's well done and Bateman and Law are both so talented. But the story -- ugh. I have a hard time rooting for unlikable people doing stupid things. Now I'm not going to be surprised if we hear about this show a lot at next years award shows, but it just didn't work for me. A better show is Task on HBO/MAX.

Agreed Brenda. I need somebody to root for and there was nobody for that.

Thanks y'all. I think I'm going to ditch Black Rabbit and watch Task (which coincidentally was recommended by a friend yesterday).

I started Task last night and got to E3. It's interesting - but it's so dark and gloomy. I'm going to stick with it since everyone recommended it.

Lexie, it remains dark and gloomy but it was very good but if you aren't really loving the acting by now then you may want to stop and not watch the last 4 eps

Pamy, I find the acting to be excellent but I can see where this is going to leave me depressed... LOL. However, I'm going to stick with it

The documentary was good Pamy. The woman was evil and she should have moved. Kids poked at an ugly bear and parents were complicit. Glad about the conclusion.

The documentary was very good. I would have been scared of that lady. People are nuts. I would have tried to keep my kids off that side of the street. I'm glad about the conclusion too. You just never know in Florida. My kid described Task as "so sad". But I said "also hopeful". It's so, so well done and good. I highly recommend Task.

I think the only reason we got that conclusion is because the fought so hard for it. So sad that a white family would not have had to fight that hard for it. The stats at the end of the doc were so sad. When her little son was asked are you hurt? he said No, but my heart is broken. I bawled, it still makes me bawl. God bless those kids
