I'm a little baffled. On tv they make it seem like in Las Vegas you can just walk up to any chapel or drive thru and get married instantly.

Well, I was married in Vegas in the mid 90s (still married) and you have to make a trip to the court house first for the license. Then you can go to any chapel on the strip. Is it different now and you don't have to get the license at the courthouse first?

(BTW, DH and I were married in the exact same chapel that Clark and Ellen Griswald of the Vegas Vacation movie were remarried, Chapel of the Bells....LOL)

The reason I ask is that I don't understand how Penny didn't think her marriage was real if they had to go the courthouse first like I did. And I've seen this on many shows, not just this one.

Yes, you have to go to the court house first and get a license. Married at the Little White Chapel in Las Vegas in 1958. Still married.

Really liked last night's show. Enjoyed the bonding with Sheldon and Bernadette's dad and of course when he swatted Amy...she loved that.

I didn't like it at all. I turned the channel halfway through and will probably rewatch later. Something about the episode bugged me. Especially Sheldon comparing himself to a slave. I think I'm tiring of BBT.

I really enjoyed the holiday episode last night. I was glad to see Stuart. I felt bad for him after they made him a series regular and then hardly used him. Amy as Sheldon's screen saver was sweet.
