I think there is something wrong with the HBO stuff, Kitt. I know "Bored to Death" was cancelled. I loved that show. And I am pretty sure Enlightened doesn't come back until 2013.

Lol, maybe I found the 2011 dates! Yep, Bored to Death looks to be cancelled, as is How To Make It In America, as is Hung, LOL! Boardwalk Empire - 9pm Sunday, September 16 is what I'm seeing now Treme - 10pm Sunday, September 23 is correct Enlightened - TBA, likely January 2013. I think I did use an announcement for 2011! I'll ask a mod to fix it so no one is confused. Thanks for noticing!

A few daytime premieres today. Katie Couric. First show was kinda nothin' special. She started today's program with a take-off on Bob Newhart and Suzanne Pleshette finale of Newhart's second show with Bob as an inkeeper in Vermont. That was the best. Today Katie woke up in bed with Matt Lauer in twin bed next to her. Came off a little lame. First half of program was Jessica Simpson -- her life today and taking off baby weight. Uh. Then Sheryl Crowe. OK. All in all, wasn't the viewer grabber for first show. I'll try a few more though. I checked out Ricki Lake's first show. Weight. Sure nothin' new there. But then -- Jeff Probst. It's daytime talk, but nothing usual about it. If today is an indication of what's to come . . . I'm there! (I didn't know Jeff had gotten married?!)

Yahoo videos are premiering the pilot of "Last Resort" before its TV premiere on the 27th. The previews have made this look pretty good: http://tv.yahoo.com/blogs/fall-tv/exclusive-watch-abc-fall-drama-last-resort-full-061122041.html The video is embedded but can be full-screened.

Color, I agree with your assessment of these shows. I may give Ricki Lake another try. I'm already done with Katie Curic. Jeff Probst though, I will for certain watch it again. He has an interesting premise; however, I have to admit I am feeling squimish about the possibility of watching that lovely woman go through the process of dying from cancer.

Well, I already had my first casualty. "Guys with Kids" was awful. I removed it from my season passes 10 seconds after the show ended.

Hmmmm...Flashpoint isn't coming up on my DVR. And according to Futon Critic, it's still just listed as "returning in 2012/2013 (date TBA)."

I thought they listed a Canadian start date for Flashpoint, but not one in the US yet.

There seems to be some confusion in places about the fifth season. Some places say it will premiere on 27 September. While that may have been accurate at one time it is no longer correct. Season 5 of Flashpoint will be back on CTV starting on 20 September 2012 at 10pm ET/PT. If you wait until the 27th you will miss one episode. If you are in the US and watch the show on ION you will have to wait a while. ION will be showing the end of season 4 and then looping back to season 1 in late September and early October 2012. So we have to wait until October or later? Guess we'll need to avoid this thread so we won't be spoiled! http://thefiveeight.com/flashpoint/

Ah. That's why I got confused. I didn't realize Rissa was reporting the Canadian start date.

can I just say, this is my favorite thread. I'm trying to set up my DVR for possible new shows that I might like and this list is so helpful so I don't start recording old shows that I think are starting earlier than I thought they were (i.e. Supernatural).

Tonight: Canadian "Who Do you Think you are" begins on CBC with a look at Don Cherry. Also Murdoch Mysteries (season 5 which already aired this spring but apparently not in all areas).

Oops, missed the 10 minute cut-off. Rick Mercer also begins his 10th season on CBC tomorrow (Tuesday Sept. 18th).

Big night tonight! I've got so much on some of it I'm going to have to wait to see for hulu. And note to any DWTS fans, my series recording didn't work because it's billed and "DWTS: All Stars." It might be the same for you...

I am excited about my most guilty pleasure show returning tomorrow, Thursday. It's already posted above, but I'm posting a reminder "It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia" Thursday, October 11 on FX

That's a shame. I watched it on Saturday evening and really enjoyed it. It's hard for new shows to get started against established shows.

How strange. I know I responded "Yay, Thanks Kar" to her report of Flashpoint starting on Oct 16 in the USA. But now it's not there. OK, once again.... Yay! Thanks Kar!
