Jimmer, my hubby and I only have about 3 shows we watch together (other than FB) and Tracker is one of them. We love it. Did you watch This is Us? It is basically Kevin working as a tracker LOL

Aha! That is it! The Tracker persona is about as "deep" as the Kevin persona from "This Is Us". But I like it as well.

Tracker is enjoyable to pass the time, but there’s no ‘heavy mental lifting’ involved to enjoy it. I don’t seek it out, but will watch and enjoy if there’s nothing else on. I do like the eye candy.

I tried Dr Odyssey once. It was a bit off the wall for me, so probably won’t watch long term.

I enjoy Tracker. Every now and then there's some little nugget about his past. Something with his father. Issues in the relationships with his brother and sister. I know there was the storyline about Russell and the father's death. Isn't there a box of something (photos? memories? documents?) of their father's that the sister currently has? it kinda reminds me of Hawaii 5-0 where Steve was always searching for his father's toolbox or whatever) I think they address it too few and far apart in the story line for me to remember the details, but every now and then (like in last night's episode) there's a line that comes up about the secrets of the past or something. But yes, 95% of it is just the eye candy winning over the bad guys, doing the right thing. 😉

Starr, I totally forgot about that storyline. I wonder if they will drop it. I love his brother!

Well, I think last night may have been my last Dr. Odyssey episode. Another suicide? the mother of the bride's sunburn healed in one day? And what was that at the end? Three way? If this is all his fever dream they better tell us soon, because it's just too odd to continue.

Yeah... I agree... weird episode... The whole thing. And the end... holy cow! I can't believe that was on network tv! Am I mistaken... but was the whole ship JUST the wedding party and guests? Who footed the bill for booking an entire cruise ship... this show is fantasy... and that is why I'm buying the coma dream theory. I think suicides on cruise ships are probably high... I loved the line the mother of the bride said at the beginning when her daughter offered her a spray tan... she said "I don't spray, I lay." lol I'm going to continue to watch... it's an easy watch while paying bills. Don't need to watch too closely in order to follow along... plus I'm a sucker for Don Johnson... he just keeps getting better with age... and I love that he's not a skirt chaser in this... he's still mourning the loss of his wife.

Yeah, it's all very odd, which makes the dream idea more likely. But if they carry it on too long, I'm afraid people will lose interest. Who is watching it now? and yeah, suicides may happen a lot on ships, but to have two almost in a row. It makes this hard to watch. It's like they are trying to create a "message" show, but doing it very ineffectively. I like Don Johnson too! Watched an interview with him (I think JimmyKimmel?) but he didn't mention the dream theory.

I'm wondering if everyone on the ship is in a hospital when COVID was at the height of the pandemic and they're all sharing the same fantasy that is this show. Some die and some get to go back home. Maybe the suicides are patients that had DNR orders in place when they got sick. This seems to me to be a perfect reason for the "suicides" without it just being desperate people who want to kill themselves. The bride who was so self involved and demanding got a chance to reassess her life more honestly. Maybe it's a chance for some of them to check something off their IRL bucket lists before they die. Maybe those three (in the final scene) are actually sick doctors IRL, sharing a dream and maybe Costner is the chief of staff at the hospital. I think whatever it is, it certainly isn't meant to be taken literally. It's too much like the reboot of Fantasy Island to expect any logical reason for the unexplained weirdness on this ship. It feels more like metaphors than reality.

Interesting speculation, SanFran. I'm not sure I'll be hanging around to find out... but I may go back after they reveal that's what it is, if that's what it is. Fantasy Island wasn't weird or dark like this is.

"Fantasy Island wasn't weird or dark like this is." I don't know about that....it did have it's own dark moments. Didn't they have an episode where a woman had to play "Lava" in her room....with real lava? And a mermaid that tried to take a human woman away, never to return? And a man who turned into a dog until he worked out his issues? I think Fantasy Island just feels less weird because we all accepted the "impossible" upfront, before we saw even saw the first episode. Viewers went in blind with Doctor Odyssey and are now trying to make the impossible (or implausible?) plots fit into the setting of a normal cruise ship. I'm buying the dream (or whatever) explanation because it's so much easier to change the category of how I see the premise of the show than it is to find a logical way to explain all the implausibilities.

I guess what I'm saying is that FI always had a good ending. I'm not trying the impossible plausible. I'm saying without a better story arc it just seems stupid. And a little depressing. I don't need depressing right now.
