I love the Dowager's expression in the photo, so snooty! I look forward to seeing the outfits that Shirley Maclaine's character will be wearing since she is American, will it be that different from the Dowager? And since it will be the 1920s it is going to be a hoot to hear the Dowager when she sees the flapper look! Only 6 more months, sigh...

I just discovered Downton Abbey and I'm hooked.
Having a marathon of Season 1 courtesy of Netflix. Now I'm wondering how long I'll have to wait for Season 2 on Netflix. Looking forward to Season 3 with Shirley Maclaine - one of my favorites.

Citrus for the first 2 seasons folks raved to me about it but it wasn't til it was shown in reruns from the beginning did I start watching and got hooked. It's the best programming on the air. And I can't wait for season 3 either!

I watched Season 2 on Amazon Instant Video. It's free if you're a Prime member. Otherwise $1.99 an episode. It's also available on iTunes.

Believe it or not, Jim Carter, who plays refined butler Mr Carson played the big Ogre (pictured on the left), in Ella Enchanted.
In real life, he's married to Imelda Staunton who played this lady (in pink, on the left) in the Harry Potter Movies.
