As for the identity of EJ's father, I'm great with him not being a DiMera. I will be ANGRY if the writers try to assign him to Victor Kiriakis, since that would make him a brother to Bo Brady. I like Victor, so they should leave him with Maggie--who had a positive effect upon Victor. She softened him and made him more honest, if that's possible.
I would be okay if EJ turns out to be Ian's kid. Ian is cruel, merciless, and an ostentatious ponce. PERFECT match for EJ. I can't stand EJ; never could!!!

I think EJ is John Black's son. He did sleep with EJ's mother around the time she go pregnant.

Oh, Bama_karen, you have a good point. John was with Eileen Davidson's character then. She was playing, like, FOUR parts, wasn't she? John was involved with Kristen, but the same actress played Susan (EJ's mother), and she played a nun and a fourth character that I can't remember. Were they women explained away as quadruplets? (like that's believable!!)

Now wouldn't that be something if EJ is John's son? Who would have the bigger melt down, John or EJ? Imagine EJ finding out the man he did everything he could to ruin financially, as well as, get sent to prison, is his real father? Oh, this could be so interesting. This would also mean that EJ has children with his step-sister. Enter a Sami melt down. He would be Brady's half-brother! Oh, dear. Love the possibilities. Thanks for reminding us of the history John had with EJ's mom, Karen!

I'm surprised that EJ hasn't shown the least bit of curiosity as to who his bio-father might be.
I'm very new to this soap (only since January), so I don't know the history of any of these characters. I've been wondering if there is any possibility that it might a blood relative of Sami's? Or what about Nicole? Or would that be too scandalous?

I don't watch Days everyday anymore. I get bored with it but as soon as I heard EJ wasn't a Dimera that was my first thought. I did watch all the time back then.

I do like how they had her say goodbye to Theo.
I am NOT liking the Melanie/Gabby/Stalker storyline. It's not been that long since Melanie was locked up w/Chad - new ideas needed!
TOO FUNNY - I had Facts of Life on tonight while I was doing some reading, and in the 1982 episode titled "The Affair," PETER RECKELL appears!  He has always been my favorite - and his appearance here reminded me why I thought he was so hot as a teen!

I don't read any spoilers, but they're treating it like Stefano is dead and Ian is the new bad guy in town (probably the murderer as he's setting up EJ to take the fall and has moved in on Kate).

John is Stefano's half brother - His father had an affair with Colleen Brady and the result was John. Anyone remember when they found the old letters from Santo/Colleen and went to Ireland to trace her down?

Crazy Susan is EJ's mother. The Kristen lookalike. In reality, EJ should only be about 20 years old. He's younger than Belle, Phillip, and Shawn D.

Thanks for answering, Escapee. I am so new to this soap, unfortunately, I don't know any of the history of the characters.
I'm still piecing together the connections between some of the existing characters. For instance, I was surprised to learn just recently that John Black is Brady's father! I don't believe I've seen them interact once since I began watching. Same with Dr Daniel (?) and Melanie...I had no idea he's supposed to be her father!

John Black and Isabella are Brady's parents - probably one of the more normal births on the whole show! LOL
Daniel didn't know Melanie was his daughter because she was Carli's daughter as well and Carlie gave up Melanie trying to protect her from Lawrence. Melanie's adoptive dad had her in prostitution and a lot of other unsavory things, and Melanie was 19 or so until she showed up in Salem. Then, Carli figured out Melanie was her daughter, and eventually Daniel found out.

Yup - it was kind of like Nicole's teen years where her dad had her in porn movies. Same basic story, slightly different details, and Melanie came out a nicer kid than Nicole was for a while.

I rarely read spoilers, so I have no idea who survives the blast. LOVE that they have a big, all-encompassing storyline, though. I don't think there's been one since the Cruise of Deception years ago!
