I just spent about 12 hours at Sunnybrook Hospital. Arrived at the ER 4:30 p.m. yesterday and arrived back home at 4:30 a.m. this morning.
According to the ER doctor, while my vitals and the catscan are (thankfully) normal, the side-effects from falling and hitting my head 12 days ago indicate a definite Concussion. (Helacious headaches that zoom around different parts of my head like the cartoon mouse Speedy Gonzalez and have gotten worse instead of better, weak jelly-legs, my short-term memory is cacked-up, and a thumb that has intermittent, tremors.)
Doc said:
absolutely no stressful
activities for 7 days,
also: no screen-time: no texting or tv
except around half an hour, twice daily. (Well he didn't say twice, but screw that!)
Folks, it's gonna be a loooong week, but I believe I'm up to the challenge.
So I won't be posting much, if at all, from today until next Monday.
Although I was determined to tough it out, thanks to my friends nagging me, (especially Bob W,) I finally caved and went to get the scary symptoms checked out. Actually glad I did.
Signing off now, as my precious 30 minutes of screen-time are ticking by fast.
