I am finally catching up, my friends. I wish I had better news. I am not going to be posting anymore. When I thought I had the flu, I had severe pneumonia and sepsis which has spread to stage 4 breast cancer. I am fighting a battle now which I will hopefully win. I have been blessed to know you all and I have not given up. I am home rehab until i can fight at home.

Oh, Mamie, just now found this, and I am out of my mind crazy reading it.
But, I also kind of intuited it and am halfway prepared for it, so there is that. I could actually feel it once we got back from Texas.
You and JMM and sometimes Twinkie (although a scamp) and others, including me and Karuuna, are/were the heart and soul of this strange and quirky message board. You are the first of us to post a pre-passage message board post here, so there is also that. And I know that will make you laugh.
I know that you have family support, and I am extremely happy to know that. Hugs to them all and prayers for you to make a major comeback. I know you will not go gently into that ... etc.
Just know that I love you, have apparently always loved you, although we never met in person, and will see you in the sweet by and by if it comes to that.
And we will laugh and dance and do all sorts of crazy shit, because you KNOW we will. Love you forever.

Ditto Juju, beautifully said, and now I am bawling. 😢
I knew about the cancer but was respectful of her privacy and only disclosed what she was comfortable with me sharing at the time. Although I wasn't aware it was stage 4. 💔 I am hopeful that our beloved Mamie's fighting spirit will carry her through, and eventually back home, and to us. 🫂
Mamie you've always been dear to my heart, as you wre the first one here to reach out and welcome me, and invite me to the games area here, when I was a newbie, a few decades ago.

Thanks, Dean. I also heard from Elizabeth via Facebook, but didn't see the message until late this afternoon. She said you were going to take care of letting folks at the Clubhouse know, and that she very much appreciated how so many of us here very much loved her Mom and reached out to inquire about her well-being when we noticed she had stopped posting.
Losing our beloved Mamie ... what a heartbreak.
Thanks for sticking with us all these years, Mamie in Heaven.
