LOL, Maris... Yes, but they are always followed by them doing it. I love the confessionals of the accomplishment they feel having overcome their fears.

I agree even though I don't fault them it isn't entertaining as a viewer. Also seeing them doing the same challenge over and over for each person gets boring. Same thing on BB when they do the comics I get bored seeing each person doing it

Huh. I liked watching this especially because they had to figure out their own techniques for getting across. Loved the butt scooters. Not efficient, but effective!

I’m still enjoying it as well but I’m always a little sad that reality shows always seem to end up making it about individual success and pitting people against each other. It would be nice to have a show where success is dependent on helping each other and getting the most people to the top.

It might have been Jimmer if the contestants where not people planning to be on Survivor.

You're right Vsmart. People that apply for Race to Survive have a different mindset than people who apply for BB or Survivor.

I prefer Alone where we see each person enduring and accomplishing and all they know is someone else is still there, but there is no sabotage and game playing.

They had a reunion I watched and they all (who were on that panel) seemed to really appreciate each other.

I do see that people here accomplish milestones, but that can get them voted out or having to do a task without a partner. And it is pretty repetitive.

Hahahahaha, I know, even though I am not sure it is the best decision since Amy will likely have a harder time on the glaciers.

Although because she has more meat on her bones than most of them she might be warmer and do better.

Hmmm changing my own mind, LOL.

Yeah, I get that Amy probably should have been gone long ago, but they all turned on the self-described cockroach. He earned his own demise.

He'll probably miraculously come back. He told us Korean cockroaches are indestructible.

I’m not sure why Dennis decided to assume that sort of horribly negative persona. If that’s the way he is in real life then he is a sorry bitter young man.

I also felt sorry for the guy (I get them mixed up) who said one of his best lessons in life was when he was a little boy and his Dad told him that men don’t cry. I’d never tell my son or daughter that it’s wrong to cry.

That was Dusty who told that story.

I thought it sucked that production made Amy do the gravity rope across the chasm again when she was only ten feet away from the other side when the rope broke off.

I'm still not a fan of the host and I hate the production interference in this show, but I'm committed to watch it until the end even though I doubt it will see a second season in the U.S.

Yeah “The Mountain’s Keeper” should have come for production when that rope broke.

"Mountain's Keeper" "Mountain Keeper".
They need to keep their terminology straight.

I'm not caught up to all of you, but I am certainly not thrilled with the host (he's not fun or funny, just mean) or the production (they don't seem careful or caring about the contestants).

The contestants seem so unkind to each other. I'm sure that it's not their fault, though. Surely production is coaching them to say the worst things about other players and to only focus on winning the money. I am certain that they thought this would be very different and what they are expected to do seems so far out of scope of "survivor" games and even incredibly dangerous. I would not be surprised if quite a few of them have PTSD related to the terrifying challenges where they had no trained support, sherpas, or coaches!

I still don't understand why they are acting like only one person will win the money. I think they only have a couple of more checkpoints so at least 3 will get there and they could make it 4 people if they wanted to by skipping a checkpoint. But they act like they have to be the "sole survivor" to win any money.

Also I was wondering since Dusty left the mountain with his money does he get to keep it. And finally they got the slowest person out so they can start booking it up the mountain.

But the way I felt about the show last night was I hoped no one would get any money. They are playing stupidly so I don't want them to win.

LOL... I feel the same way. I would love to see them miss it... and then Bano ?? comes out and says if only you had paid attention to the "mountain rules" you would have made... i.e., vote out the slow...

and I feel for the older and not in good shape people on this show... they didn't think they were going to end up on a show about climbing a mountain.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out... and IF there will be a Season 2.

I know I've said this before... but these people had no idea this was the type of show they would end up on... they thought they were signing up for Survivor or Big Brother. So I think that is a big reason why they are eliminating people the way they are... they are applying Survivor/Big Brother game theory to this... and it's way different!!! Again, really want to see how it all plays out.

And I'm in agreement... I don't enjoy the host... Is he some sort of celebrity in New Zealand? I think back to the first several seasons of Survivor... Jeff was so quiet and reserved... but he was still better than Bano... or whatever his name is...

Cass... that's exactly what Punkin has said on Facebook, that they were approaching it like BB or Survivor.

The host's name is Manu. He's an actor from New Zealand and has been in many movies, like The Hobbit trilogy.

LOL, I like Manu, he has a great voice and is easy on the eyes.

Actually, they have been playing long enough now to understand that this isn't Survivor or Big Brother. They can count the number of checkpoints left to see that it is not a "one person wins" game. So it seems like they should have figured out the way this game works by now.

Well, apparently it doesn't work that way. Punkin just posted this:

CAUTION: POSSIBLE SPOILERS IN THIS ARTICLE!

I don't really see that it explains why they voted the way they did, but it's quite a twist.

OH, ETA: they think there will be a jury of sorts that votes for the final winner.

I’m enjoying the show but really liked Dusty and Nick. After last nights show I don’t want anyone to win. There’s so many that aren’t likeable. I don’t know why but I never liked Becky Lee or Amy . If I had to vote for anyone it would be Geenie or pumpkin.
Throne is one I didn’t dislike but after each show I feel like he’s getting too entitled and smug. I thought it would have been funny last night if he was voted off.

Why in the world would they think that?

All along they have told them that the people who get to the summit will win their money and they have each been carrying their money all along.

So the only thing that could possibly happen is the final people at the summit could steal each others money.

I agree, that excuse really doesn't make sense. After the Dusty vote off I gave up on the show, havent watched last 2 eps and will probably just delete

I would like a second season to see if it is played differently
