Likable cast and really hard challenges. Because of the Writers Strike, we're getting 4 hours a week of this show.

About half Canadians, both team leaders are Canadian, as they won first and second in the first challenge. Filmed in Canada. Each team has won a team challenge and the first person to clock out is a woman.

I noticed that the shows are doubled and the food truck race are doubled show. I guess that means I will have no shows in August.

I don't understand why they are doubling up on the shows. You would think they would be dragging the seasons out since they don't know when the writer's strike will end.

I think it means they have huge holes to fill in their schedule, maybe.. but it does seem rushed.

So, it has already started? (I am on a 2 week cruise in Alaska, where you don't always get internet or regular television)

Thanks. Absolutely do NOT wait for me to catch up to discuss freely. It does not bother me in the least to read spoilers.

Okay, I am back home, and will get to it soon. Thanks! It is still absolutely fine with me if y'all want to discuss what happened in episodes I have not seen.

For those who watch on a regular basis, does everyone participate in the individual challenge? I realize sometimes the winning team doesn't have to but I swear these last 2 episodes, half the winning team participated and half didn't. What am I missing?

After they lose the individual, they can't participate in individual but still compete in team

Thanks, Sadies, for answering my question. I haven't continued watching this show in previous seasons but I'm enjoying it this summer. I'm burned out on prime time game shows so this is one of the few shows I'm tuning into this summer.

Kappy, everyone always participates in the team challenges. That's completely independent of the individual contest, which is the one in the running for the big prize at the end. Each team win is $12,000, but the team that gets 5 wins gets a $60,000 bonus. The individual contest decides the big cash prize and the truck. Each week one person is eliminated from the running for the individual, but not from the show. So each week only those who haven't lost an individual (regardless of what team they're on) compete in that each week. At the end, three individuals will be left, and they'll run for the big prize.

Thanks Karuuna ~ I had forgotten that just because they 'clock out', they are only out of the individual, not the team aspect of it. That's what I get for not watching from the beginning. I appreciate the explanations.

Jessica might have won, but Kenji had no chance being so much smaller in muscle.
