Yes Karuuna, if you have a VPN you can watch it on BBC I player. I am waiting till I go home to watch but again, looks like a great cast.

There have been three episodes of the UK one so far, and there will be three next week, Wed- Fri, so that will probably be the normal days going forward.
They have made a significant change to the normal format - not sure if it’s good or bad yet - but I’ll put it in a spoiler box.

Click below to view spoiler | At the beginning Claudia picks FOUR traitors, three are the normal ones and one is a secret one. The three meet in the turret in the normal way, but the secret traitor selects a subset of the main group, and the regular traitors have to choose the banished from just that subset.
It is good to see the regular traitors also not knowing who’s who, but it feels like it could be manipulated by production. |
That’s all I’ll say if some of you don’t want to be spoilt, plus I’ll need to keep away from the thread because of US spoilers anyway, until I watch that at the end of the UK one.

It is very very good. There is a new twist that is revealed in the first two minutes of the show so I do not think it is a spoiler. If you are interested you can read it in Kitt's spoiler box above. I think it adds a whole new dimension to the show

Is this year's Traitors USA worth watching? I've tried not to be spoiled, but I see lots of articles about celebs who sound pretty awful, so I wondered if it was still worth watching despite that..?

I'm in reverse, Karuuna, I have to wait until the Irish version (aired earlier in January) is over before BBCiPlayer shows the US one. They aired the last two Irish ones today so I think next Monday they will start with the US one, hopefully two eps at a time.

Oh! Thanks for your replies, Karuuna and Egbok. I almost never watch video anything on television. I only ever watch video anything on my computer. Bigdog watches television, and we bought a new 55" LG television a week or so ago. I helped him pick it out, based on best visual picture, and he set it up himself, after calling LG help-line.

I recently found the Traitors Canada on Peacock Plus. It was three seasons, and I had never heard they even had one. I have now finished Seasons 1 AND 2, and started season 3 tonight. Both were good.
And they explained why I happened upon an odd thread in Bluesky a year or two ago where somebody wanted to know about young people continually pronouncing words with an -uh tacked onto the end of some words, like good-uh, or feel-uh, think-uh, and at the time I first read it, I had never, ever noticed it. But it was VERY apparent in The Traitors Canada season 1 contestants, and to a lesser extent season 2. So maybe that is a Canadian quirk?

Kar, same, but maybe then I thought to absurdly try THE Traitors, and it came up, something weird like that. I don't recall how I even knew to look for it, since I didn't know it existed. I do have Peacock plus subscription, though.
But maybe if you just search for The Traitors, the whole lot of them worldwide will pop up.

I am getting close to the end of Season 3, and it is totally enjoyable. Because how can one NOT love Canadians?
They are SO bloody decent and lovable while joyfully murdering and banishing each other.
This very message board itself is a prime example. Canadians started it. Canadians remain.

Oh, and here is an interesting thing about The Traitors Canada (besides them adding an extra -uh syllable at the end of many words) - in all three seasons, several of the departing cast members on all three seasons have said something like: "I had no idea I was going to fall in love with all of you."

Kar, you will love it! Canadians are SO decent and so loveable, and OMG so accepting of people as they are.
I finished the series last night.
There was one theme in all three seasons, and it was SO Canada.
