These audition shows were filmed back in March right before the shutdown. DH thought it wouldn't be as good without the energy of the audience, but I didn't even miss them! There was so much great talent last night! Loved almost everyone! So hard to decide who will win, when there's just so many great acts. I always have to laugh at Terry, cause he gets so excited! He was yelling at the top of his lungs last night. Kept forgetting there was no audience to scream over!

I also loved the temporary addition of Eric Stonestreet. Didn't even miss Heidi Klum (not really a fan).

That was an odd show last night. Seemed to be filmed in a parking lot with a giant TV. Did anybody else think Heidi Klum looked a little puffy? I was wondering if she (like the rest of us) put on a little extra weight while she was in quarantine? It was especially apparent when she turned to the side (like to talk to Simon or Sophia) and you could see a bit of a double chin. She's not getting any younger.

I'm loving Sophia on this show. I think she's hilarious. She was cold last night and Howie told her to put on her sweater. She said, "No, I would rather be beautiful!" It made my hubby lol.

Kenan Thompson will fill in for Simon. When he was a judge on Bring on the Funny, I was impressed at his critiques of the contestants. So, I think he will be good at this.

I agree that this format is MUCH better than American Idol. I'm not super thrilled about any of the acts, but I did give some votes to Alexis and her Puppy Pals.

Haven't seen it yet. But I will say I saw it when Howie gave the golden buzzer and I said outloud, "Well that was good, but not golden buzzer good, and I can't see myself going to a show for an hour of that". Different strokes for different folks, that's what makes the world go round :-)
