I cheered when the judges picked Tristen Gressett to be in top 14. But I wasn't too happy that he wasn't voted to stay  I hope that doesn't mean he'll be one of the first to go home.

Not a fan of Tristan's. I was sorry the nurse , Jacob? Didn't make it and was very surprised the two black guys weren't voted through. Glad they were both saved since both are so talented. I like the ex-fooball player. I think the guys are again stronger than the gals.

I think there was just SO much talent and that's why Tristan didn't get voted through by "America". I mean for all we know he could have been 11th.

Just a quick note.... Tristen does spell his name differently than the traditional spelling "Tristan". I guess really it's his mom to blame. haha

This is what I don't like. In the old AI, this is when things would slow down and and 1 would go home every week, or sometimes 2.
But instead, we are are at top 14, and 4 go home this week! I just hate it.

I hate it as well and it completely changes the tone of the show from a show that appeared genuinely interested in developing stars with a solid fan base that was built over many weeks to what is simply a one-off reality show with forgettable winners much less finalists!

I can't believe my recording cut off right as they were about to announce the 11th and final person!
So I had a nervous few minutes there as a Tristen fan running to the internet to find out he was the last name called....hahaha
They were purposely trying to torture me

I'm not sure why you say west coast couldn't vote? It's on from 6-8 PDT, is that not live? What time does it air on the east coast?

It airs at 8:00 on the Spokane station. I went in to vote and it said voting is closed. I believe it airs at 8:00 back East which would be 5 here. So it is not on yet at 5.

I was surprised they saved Lady K over Tristin. She is just an average singer IMO and while I am not a fan he was different then the rest. Maybe they were afraid he was so wild he would hurt himself and the liability would be too great. These judges praise everyone as the best ever. They can't all be the best ever.

One thing I thought was cool....
They were calling off the top 11 "in no particular order". So I wonder if saving Tristen's name for last meant they knew he got a lot of votes and that would create the most suspense.
