Nana the good thing about Vegas is you can ALWAYS find a nice room you can afford. Now if you want to stay at the hotel where the event is held, that's another story. But there are ALL sorts of amazing deals up and down the strip. So good that I've toyed w/going and using some frequent flyer miles!!!

The camera crew is going to be in a prison van following or in front of the bike parade, at some stage they go under a tunnel, they think they will lose feeds, if they do they said to stick with them, it will not be blanked out for long

I think I'd pay the $5 admission that they're charging for today's event, and not the whopping $150 for the Blue Martini one.
I don't think I could squeeze into a 'Blue Martini'-type dress!

If a group wanted to go you could always rent a condo, shared among a group it could work out cheaper?

Plus if you check the hotel's twitters and such they keep running super deals. The Wynn Encore was dirt cheap for awhile, but they went up again. A friend said the Rio was almost free. You have to watch out for "resort fees" that some now charge. They can nail you on those. But esp with a group you can negotiate great rates!

Oh, Scuba, that is a great idea! And in a condo, there'd be a kitchen, and we wouldn't have to spend a lot on restaurants.
I'm getting excited and it's a whole year away!! HA!!

Scuba the condos on or near the strip are kinda small (there is a huge complex right behind the Flamingo...I'd have to think of the name). I think the cheaper thing to do would be to rent a house!!
I did that in Aspen with friends and were in a multi-million dollar luxury home for WAY cheaper than what a hotel would cost!!!
ETA and Aspen costs tons more than Vegas lolol)

Flights to Vegas are cheap in the fall as well. I personally would drive from Ottawa to rochester or Syracuse to get a cheap flight. The Canadian taxes on flights are stupid expensive.

LOLOL Rose...guess who found the house in Aspen??!! My friends were finding these horrid (and still expensive lol) hotels and I said if I find something nicer can we stay there? It was so big we had a had time all finding each other LOLOL.
Can we form pre-house alliances??!!! LOLOL Better yet will someone give us 500k at the end of it??! hehehe

LOL we had a blender and a Bose stereo...it was so much fun. Our biggest regret was there was SOOOO much stunning places to go to and such good nightlife that we didn't spend as much time hanging out as we would have liked! Dang that was a fun trip, I'm down memory lane now!!
