Why do people keep saying “giving” the icons the diamond veto? Devens won it just like he could have gotten a punishment. I know many believe things happen behind the scenes to skew results of certain events in the house but I don’t. The only true advantage that the icons got was the first HOH. Past that, any of the others could have actually gotten out of their pods, talked with people not in their clique, won challenges, and just overall played better to take them out. I’m tired of the icons being dragged for being good players.

I wouldn’t say the specific reward was “given” to the Icons, but it wasn’t surprising that 3 known players each got a chance at a reward before any newbies. Both Survivor contestants have been on more than one season of Survivor, and Dee did The Challenge. I highly doubt BB tweaked the outcome of the Time Capsule, but each icon has a fan base already established, whereas the newbies did not. THAT is an advantage, and that’s the part that was “given.” Although I do not understand the love for Angela… she’s seems very toxic/emotionally manipulative to me. The way she turns on the fake tears, starts love-talk to hubby Chuck which then turned into a to-do list which escalated into doomsday predictions of his failure and ended with threats… too much!

The way I see it, they spin around in a chair for an advantage or a punishment. When they land on a square it is revealed. Production can decide, depending on who is in the chair, which punishment or advantage they get. I am pretty sure it was intentional that the Survivor got the best advantage.

There was someone online that was keeping track of how many dr sessions each contestant had on the shows when the voting was going on. It's no surprise that the ones who has the most dr sessions (say, like 20) won the power that week compared to others that maybe had 1 or 2. The dr sessions is how the tv only viewers got to know the players. And at the beginning, there were so many hgs, that just weren't getting any time on the shows.

Dee and Devins did not know each other were going on Big Brother so there was no pre gaming.
No, neither Dee Valladares nor Rick Devens knew the other was going to be on Big Brother Season 28 ahead of time; they entered the house completely blind to each other's casting.Production kept the inclusion of the two Survivor favorites a strict secret from everyone—surprising both the rest of the houseguests and Dee and Devens themselves when they arrived.

Feeds showed Devens in the storage room with a couple of other people for a second, then cut away. There could be last-minute strategy talks they are not showing to us. (The others who were not on the feeds were Dee, Taylor, and Barrett.)
Melody is in the kitchen and Yash and Drew are in the bathroom grooming themselves.
Feeds just went to animals.

I completely believe production can inject control in many ways. Including which square lights up depending who is sitting in the chair. It’s no coincidence that Devins and Dee are the only two players that hit a significant game playing reward. Also, the extent of the advantage of Dee’s reward was totally production controlled. They let her protect all three Icons with an agreement that can’t be broken while making a promise she didn’t have to be bind to. That is nuts and It has been game changing and a huge advantage for Dee.

Observations before this season gets worse for me like every season since 14.
The natural ebb and flow of the BB game was erased years ago, the HGs that are picked for a season has been thought out and planned. I believe you can gage which HG BB production has, is or wants to make it far in the game by the amount of DRS. I can gage it by recording the episode and the amount of times I mute the HG. Guess what, it's Angela, Dee and Devens in that order. Drew not far behind. I know the response is, well the rest didn't do anything...get it, but this season the Survivor plants and the bombastic Angela ruled the season.
On a fun note, I enjoyed the HGs family moments, surprised Devens didn't cry during the video, wow Barretts entourage made me smile, and LOVED Melody's well behaved cat being held on it's back and not fussing.
My favorite non manipulated HGs winning BB in order: Eddie Season 1..the innocent season
Will...Season 2..self explanatory
Jun....Season 4..she was a hard a$$
Ian....Season 14..we need more BB Ians
Even when I was a casual fan I could tell when the season was being led astray by production pre determined favorites.
Long winded season reaction....Drew or Dee will win because this viewer can't stand them. LOL

First off, naming three houseguests icons should’ve been the first clue. They even refer to themselves as such. Icon of what exactly. Then, just in case they’ve recruited anyone with half a brain who thought it best to take every opportunity to get them out, they gave them the first HOH. But wait, before they come to their senses, if they can find them, let’s create a bogus light show that has nothing to do with skill or strategy and have the light hit a prize for the survivor icons after we pretend it was just a little ole friar vote from America. Those two powers were ridiculous and gave them cushions that have brought them to the end. BB treats their audience like mushrooms. Put them in the dark and feed em bullsheet. Not to mention the juvenile time travel at the kitchen table hoohaa. I feel used. lol
