Yeah...I read the article this morning and thought the same thing! And is this a precursor for BB USA?

I don’t think so- mainly because CBS gets money from the P+ subscriptions. A lot of people get subscriptions specifically for LF’s, and many don’t bother to cancel between seasons. If they didn’t do them, they could lose a ton of subscriptions.

Yeah... But if they're citing the reason as, it's better for the mental health of the contestants... I could see it happening here. And it seems like Canadians are much kinder to the contestants then USA is lol Since UK and Australia and now Canada got rid of live feeds...interesting to see what country is next to follow

Taran Armstrong says "The producers of Big Brother Canada have a long history of censorship, problematic decisions, and have consistently created false narratives for their show. There is no reality where the decision to cut live feeds isn't just a way to make these things easier for them. Live feeds make Big Brother the reality show that forces producers to be at their most accountable. They help protect contestants from mistreatment from both producers & other players. The desire to remove them speaks volumes about the show's commitment to mental health" This is in line with what most are saying

😠 🤬 ... and I haven't watched the live feeds since the first year. But it was nice to read about them.

Looking forward to the start next week!! I haven't watched the live feed in years but I feel it made everyone more accountable for their actions.

I am SO disappointed!!! Last season was my first experience with BBCAN, and it was the best BB in many, many years. I had a blast doing Live Feed Updates, and my favorite HG actually won, which is an extremely rare event for me. I was very much looking forward to doing it again. It is just not worth it for me to get a VPN to watch an edited TV show. Just like with BBUS, the entire concept of the show IS the live feed access. Without that, it’s just “Survivor in a House”. I watched the recent Survivor season that Gabler won, and the editing annoyed the crap out of me every week. Not gonna go through the cost and trouble of getting a VPN just to be annoyed.

It really is crushing. The live feeds make Big Brother. Otherwise it’s almost scripted. Such a great show and now they’ve done this. Argh!

Thanks, Wilson! I am happy that we will have BBUS live feeds, but I am so sad about BBCAN anyway. After the amazing BBCAN10, I feel very deprived that I can’t have that again. I take comfort in the idea that anything after BBCAN10 would most likely be a disappointment. You cannot recreate that kind of magic.
