I hope Danielle goes soon too, Kitt, but the house has been turned upside down & that's worth letting her stay a bit longer.
If Danielle had gone, Pauline & crew would have become even more insufferable, feeling the public validated them.
I'm interested to see if/how Danielle handles her second chance *or* if she thinks the public is validating her. She was so fully prepared to go, she's going to be so confused.

Surely the HM heard the public chants, Pauline will never believe it, but the others will. How much you want to bet Pauline will lose all her "friends" this week.

It looks like only 2 noms this year. Only reason we had 3 this week was due to the tie.
Chris seems to be loving the reaction. I think he's just thrilled that Pauline doesn't suspect him. I wonder who else he'll nom. I *love* that Pauline gets to stew all alone for awhile.

Yep, I think Pauline's friends will disappear too, but she's not the sort of person you can disagree with, so we might not be able to tell for some of them.
I wonder if more people will side with Jale, because they think that she is the PP.

Tamara just said on BOTS everyone in the house will think Jale or Christopher have the power so they will be picked on even more.
They also said Steven stated he was so sure Danielle would go he would give 1/2 million dollars if Tamara went (or something like that.) How ironic that him blabbing could be the reason Tamara went. Make him put the money where his big mouth is, lol.
Lol, already Pauline is going on and on about how upfront she is and if anyone wants to tell her anything, she's right there to listen.
Umm....hasn't Christopher been trying to talk to her for two days and she's shined him on? The more she talks the more she sinks her own ship.
I asked this earlier, but it was busy. Have the 30 min live feeds from the house been cancelled, or am I just missing them?
ETA: Why is everyone downloading the VLC Media Player? Would that make one be able to watch shows that say we can't see them in the U.S.?

Cricket, these are the time for the next week or so, times are tvch board time (= Pacific Time) so you might have to convert for your time zone. You can see some of the 1-2pms from this week are now 2-3pms and vice versa, Ch5 are good at shifting things round!

With VLC media player you can watch a direct 640x360 high quality (though not HD) live stream of all BBUK and BOTS episodes direct from Channel 5 as they are being broadcast.
The stream link is on page 1 or 2 of this thread I believe.
I made a shortcut to a playlist containing that link and can quickly load up BBUK when its time to watch.

I usually prefer for the controversial housemates to stay in a while to make it interesting, but Pauline is not interesting.
She is just annoying and tedious to listen to.
I hope she is gone next Friday.

Cricket, only 10 hours of live feed are scheduled for this whole series - 30 min here, 30 min there. A fellow at Digital Spy is pushing hard to get someone from Ch5/Viacom/Endemol or even the sponsor Super Casino to listen. They all claim they want to provide live feed but you see where it isn't.
Cricket, I think you are confusing VLC with VPN, which can be used to not be geoblocked. I would be wary of free ones though.
The VLC player is required to watch the channel's live stream, perhaps other media players will work also. I advocate the direct stream so the channel realizes the extent of it's worldwide fan base. It's not officially sanctioned or recognized, but they open it up just for BB.
I don't believe Pauline will ever believe that she's not the public's darling & her face on eviction night will be priceless but a lot can happen between now & then.

Im sure they know very well how much of an international fanbase there is, but what good does it do them?
Heck way back on BBLB with Dermot they used to have fans from the US and Australia on webcams.
An international fanbase doesn't improve their ratings nor would it be sought by their UK advertisers, so it does nothing for their bottom line.
Plus there are the licensing legalities involved. BBUK cant very well be openly shown in the US where CBS has the exclusive rights to the franchise.
Though its too bad Viacom doesn't still own CBS, there may have been some crossover opportunities if they did.

Wil, thank you so much for the info. I just watch the live stream and will continue to do so, but at some point, I will look into VPN because it's frustrating to think I've found something to watch only to have it say it can't be shown in my country.
I think you're right about Pauline. I'm not sure she heard the audience saying to get her out. Tamara was a little surprised about it when Emma mentioned it and the whole house was trying to hear what the audience was saying and it seemed like they were listening for those on the block's names.
Tamara mentioned that when Pauline was upset with someone she wouldn't rest until she got the whole house upset with them as well. Even without the Power person, I think the others were beginning to see her true colors.
I don't understand what she's trying to achieve right now in extoling her honesty and virtues, while continuing to act the way that got her nommed.
There are some confusing personalities this year, that's for sure.
Does everyone think BBUK is helping or hurting their chances of getting renewed by changing the format somewhat this year? I don't want it to get cancelled.

The ratings have nose dived since launch. Ch5 was sold and the current regime seems to be in a tail spin. They lost a HUGE advertising client. They've got so many problems that BB probably doesn't seem very important. They don't understand that the live feed drives the fan base & it's my understanding that BB saved ch5 & losing BB was a huge mistake for ch4.
Viacom may need to jump in quickly before ch5 is driven under.
It is my understanding that Endemol (which IS BB) understands the importance of live feeds but made allowances in negotiations when it seemed no one in the UK wanted BB anymore. BBAU was retired for 3 years in Au & was revived by a low budget station that doesn't have a live feed either.

One of the things that made the livefeed work originally in the UK was that Ch4 had a sister channel E4 that Big Brother took over from about 6pm to 6am with live feeds. Feeds were on other times of the day (I think) but basically you could put Big Brother on E4 in the background, go about your evening, and only pay attention if you were bored or something good was happening. Much like the US feeds, you could come home and "be with" the housemates, fall asleep to the housemates talking, etc..
Although Ch5 has a similar sister station, 5*, that they could do the same with, they instead chose to have 5* full of endless repeats of crappy reality shows, and when they do try the live feeds they put it on at a boring time of day or try to force the hms to be entertaining by making them do something. Until they're willing to dedicate hours of time to a livefeed, even if in the modern age ;) they do it with an app, not on tv, I can't see them getting the ratings up again.
On the other hand, this seems like it could be quite a good season, so it's a shame ratings are down. Maybe it will pick up.

Thanks for all the interesting info re Ch 5 & Big Brother, Wil & Kitt.
I had read something that said live feeds were cancelled for BB, but I thought perhaps it was an old article referring to the 24/7 live feeds, but it may have been for the 30 min. live feeds the show was supposedly going to have and we only got them once or twice.
Kitt, it makes sense that having two channels would help immensely. I wish they could show some feeds and put the BOTS show on another channel maybe so that slot could go to feeds.
Also, if there were an hour or so of live feeds, would they have to be on the TV schedule, or could they be online only, thus Ch 5 would still have an open schedule.
I agree that the feeds make the show and keep everyone interested in it. Even what they are showing that's already taped seems to be a lot of repeats like today. I hope someone steps in.
I agree that this season\ has the makings of a good season because this isn't a house full of sheep. Some people will stand up to those who think they run the house.
One of the peeps who has disappointed me is Toya. She was a fave at the beginning because she seemed independent and a mature, intelligent person with a lot of common sense and now she has changed since hanging with Pauline and the supposed 'in-crowd.'

Watching the live show (thanks to your schedule, Kitt...I'm finally catching it @ the right time.)
There was a lot that happened before the eviction, but the most ridiculous part is Pauline. Poor Christopher says he didn't know if she wanted a hug from him after being nommed and SHE turns it into what's wrong with him.
Pauline truly deserves this year's BS award! Wow, that woman can turn a story.

Pauline is not very smart. What was the point of banging on and on and on about Jarle, when she's going to be nominated every week, whether or not the HMs like her? Even her followers are starting to look bored when she starts up. She has no finesse at all.

So I'm all caught up and keep watching this strange version of BB, I can say I miss seeing competitions, for that the US are certainly better. But I like the UK without that silly key box for nominations they have in the US, and let's hope this time they got rid of it in the US and have a more creative way of nominating (so far the Aussie have the best way of nominations). For heaven' sake to wait almost a whole minute before the nomination is announced...I kept saying "Pauline" "Pauline", it was such an obvious nomination since everyone knew she had the power while Cris has it now but hidden and so may not be making as many enemies, unless it is revealed later on. So the other nominated is Cristopher, while the third nominated is up every time, that's a bit silly really because she'll stay longer that way.
Tamara evicted was a surprise, don't know if that Bots show is influencing public's opinion, I was expecting Danielle to go.
Anyway, a minus with this version is definitely the lack of hard competitions but a plus the simple way of nominating.

I was okay that Tamara went, but then in her interviews, I really liked her, she's a lovely person, so I hope they have her on bots more until the final. Thanks everyone for your comments, they were fun to read while I was watching.
I hope Pauline goes this week, I just can't listen to her anymore, it's so strange, but then again, I wonder if she wants to leave. On today's show they revealed Christopher is also nominated, which surprised me, but in the dr Chris was genuinely upset, but I still don't see anything Christopher has done, I actually like him. Also, in a clip a third nominee was revealed, or fourth if I include Jale, it's in the box below bc I don't think it will air until tomorrow; I wonder how many there will be.
