the reason they could was due to the extra vote. they let everyone revote as to not give away who had the extra vote, that is what I read at Wiki

For me, I’m not doubting that is the rule. I just don’t think it should be. ONE extra vote should be it, not good for the revote.

I agree, If you win an extra vote, it should not mean you win an extra vote twice. Neither of them should have been able to vote.
I think Ozzy was not cut out for this Survivor, maybe too much time had passed since he played. He wasn't strategic at all. I think Cirie is playing a fantastic game if she can hold it together.
I to want to see Joe gone, he is such a downer. I don't even know why he signed up to play this game.

Yes, Cirie and Emily do cancel out each other's vote, but Cirie still has that 2nd vote that is still "live". That is the vote Cirie is using in the second round of voting.
If in past seasons, a person got to vote twice a second time, wouldn't it only be fair to let Cirie, also?
I have no idea if in past seasons there was a tie and a revote. I've missed many seasons.

I think hanging out all this time with Jonathon and Stephanie, instead of the fun, nerdy crowd, has made Joe sour.
Get rid of Jonathon and his manipulative ways, and I think we could see a whole nother side of Joe.
Though, at this point of the game, and the prize money being doubled, it's probably to late.

As Jeff explains in Survivor 47 episode 8, "He's All That", in the case of a revote where there's a difference in the tied players voting ability -- Sam Phalen lost his vote, but was tied with Sierra Wright who still had her ability to vote -- the eligible player(s) will participate in the revote. And per the standard extra vote rules, an extra vote is seen as any other standard vote possessed by a player at Tribal Council.

I agree it is a shitty rule and I dont agree with it but the rule wasnt changed for this season, apparently it has been around for years

I think the extra vote applies for the entire tribal. If CIrie had not been one of the two who were tied, she still could have voted twice in the re-vote.

That’s an odd coupling, but they have the Survivor bond, I guess.
According to the internet, she married her long term partner, Erik, in 2025. But, maybe they broke up since then.

Maybe going to jury together gave them bonding time.
In Lady's exit interview with Mike Bloom for Parade, Ozzy acknowledged that he got ahead of himself talking to Aubrey,Candice's should have played his idol, but that he actually had torn a ligament in his knee early in the season. Never mentioned it because if Jeff or producers knew, they would have brought in medics and pulled him out. He has had surgery to repair that injury.
He also says he would have been fine with or honored to lose to Cirie.
Cirie's Instagram had a really lovely tribute to Ozzy today.

That's wild about Emily and Ozzy. I remember during her first season she was engaged. I could be getting people confused but didn't Emily talk about how her fiance was back home moving into a new house, helping with wedding plans, etc. while she was in Fiji?

Call me cynical but I'm not buying the Ozzy and Emily coupling. I don't doubt they became good friends after having shared that elimination together but any pictures I find on google are definitely look AI generated. I think Emily will get such a kick out of this at the reunion.
I did find a pic of Ozzy with a newborn where they said he is keeping quiet about who his girlfriend is. But for all we know, the child in the pic could be a friend's child, lol!
As for the episode, I hated the twist with only four people to pick from for an elimination and so many having idols. I was screaming at Ozzy to listen to his dream! I just hope they go after Rizzo's idol next.

I'm guessing Rizzo worked on Ozzie and convinced him he was safe and that he didn't need to use the idol. Rizzo and Ozzie (along with Cirie) were a solid as can be alliance, so Ozzie would trust whatever Rizzo said. And that's probably why Ozzie said that this one really hurt.
Shame the cameras can't show us this stuff because it would give away who goes home at tribal.

I’m not upset that Cirie was able to cast her extra vote twice this week. I’m disappointed Jonathan was allowed to vote in both of the tribals. IMO there have been too many oddball twists this season. The game of Survivor doesn’t need all these twists to be interesting.

Rizzo saw his chance to get rid of Ozzy and took it. For the others, it comes with not knowing anything about how he played from Season 49. However, I think it will backfire on him. He has an idol that will get him further, but I don’t think it takes him to the end. At some point, Cirie will not be able to control him. Look what he did without Cirie’s input. Ozzy left.
IMO I believe that Joe is a lock for the final 3 because he has not done much. That leaves 2 spots.

I agree about Joe plus the fact we have heard a couple talking about babysitting him.
I also think Rizzo will make finals because no one will vote for him. Old school doesnt respect lazy and on the surface it doesnt look like he has made any moves

I agree about Rizzo, I think he really screwed himself by betraying Ozzy. Cirie is not someone you can spin a story to so she knows that he is not to be trusted and she will have no problem cutting him loose.

I don’t see how they don’t target Cirie next. Every single one of them has talked about what a big threat she is, but seem to be afraid to go against her. Rizo has to know he wouldn’t beat her at the end, Tiffany may think she has a chance against her based on Tiff’s immunity wins, Aubry and Rick know she needs to go, and I don’t know where Joe and Jonathan stand with her.
As for Ozzie, at this point, I’m glad he was booted. His whining and being so hurt by the betrayal was just too much. What does he think each and every one of the people he helped vote out felt? He did really seem to have this air that he was the rightful winner and everybody else was just there to get him the win. And to say he would have been fine losing to Cirie? No one should ever be fine losing to anyone! If you’re not willing to do whatever it takes to win, don’t waste our time.
