The second last episode of the season tonight. It's been a curious season so far. I was listening to a commentator and I thought he made a rather good point. Some people have been saying that this has been like "old school" traditional Survivor where alliances form and the votes are predictable and that people used to find that interesting in the past. However, and this is the big difference, in the past, Survivor used to be more about going to a unique location and literally surviving. Surviving in that unique and interesting location (e.g. Australia, Africa, etc.) was part of what made the episodes interesting. That is all missing now that they are always in the same (now very familiar) location. Now it is all about game play and if there isn't entertaining game play (and there hasn't been interesting game play this season), the show has absolutely nothing to fall back on to keep viewers engaged.

Jimmer, that is a great point. I also believe that is why they starting introducing twists to stop pagonging. I would love a shake up tonite I'm ok with anyone winning except Eva

and suffering was only being able to eat rice. No eating worms, spider competitions. Just puzzles. I would like to see Mitch gone. Don't want Eva or Joe to win. I always hate when you have someone that feels like they have a lock on final two.

Kyle and Kamilla's "bond" seems sketchy to me. I don't believe they are strangers who just met this season on Survivor. I get the feeling they're punking us along with the cast. You don't develop that level of tightness with a stranger you barely speak with yet are able to keep the loyalty going with only snatched minutes talking game. Anyone else find their "ride or die" relationship strange, based as it is on so very little. Plus, it's not as if she brings much to the table besides eye rolls. She's virtually done nothing the whole season as far as I can see.

Also, strange that Kyle only focused on his dad's letter. Never mentioned the fiance he's supposed to be marrying shortly. Hmmm, maybe Kamilla is his betrothed, lol. Wouldn't that be a kicker? At least it would finally give us something to talk about this god-awful season.

Shauhin did say that he picked Kyle to go on the reward because he has a wedding soon and would probably like getting a letter from her. I was rooting for Shauhin to win, but he just wouldn’t take any risks when he had a chance. Joe had another winners edit tonight.

I am so irritated that Joe didn't right out ask Shauhin if he had an idol that he had shown to Kamilla. He treated him like a child. Arrggggh! Really not liking Kyle or Kamilla at this point.

I dislike Joe at this point. I think the game changes you and now he is acting like some sort of enforcer. Eva's over confidence may get her in the end.

Can’t believe they waited this long to make a move. Imagine if Mary had been able to convince them to vote out Joe, last week, when they had a chance. They were all playing so cautiously. Joe will probably win and the others will only have themselves to blame.

I think they are showing the worst of Joe at this point, as an editing decision. Same with Eva. It's a shame. Did you know some of the players are getting death threats for not "making a move"? (per Mary) How ridiculous.

Joe's backstory about his sister Joanna pulled at my heartstrings. It was a beautiful moment when he started his peace with her passing in a domestic violence situation. I was sorry to see Shauhin go but wow, Kyle and Kamilla did great with his ultimate elimination. I realize that editing is everything in any TV reality show so I'm still not sure who will win Season 48.

The edit is also leading me to think that Kamilla will try to get Kyle out. She is always saying ONE of us needs to be in F3 and Kyle just goes along with it, thinking it will be him I’m sure. The previews show her saying it’s better if they aren’t both in F3. She wants Kyle on jury as a sure vote and to help plead her case to the others. I like all the ones left so I am good no matter who wins. For all the seeming talk of unity at camp, I think it will actually be a bitter jury.

I just want to see Mitch gone at this point. he has done nothing. He reminds me of a 1950s movie Mr. Roberts, where Jack Lemon keeps threatening to go up against the captain when in reality he hides from the captain whenever he hears his voice. That is Mitch, I don't buy his I have been waiting for the opportune time..........He will never make a move or stick his neck out. Of all of them he does not belong in final 3.

Because of what Maris just wrote, there’s a real good chance that he makes it to final 3. You would want to sit next to him in the final.

I know I moan and piss every year about who gets to the end of Survivor but I only do it in my own household and on this board. To make death threats against any player on Survivor is insane to me!

The bond between Kyle and Kamilla is that they are both originally from Guyana, which doesn't have a very large population.

There’s always been crazy people out there. Nothing new about that. I’m glad they finally did something but I was sorry it was Shauhin. I’m pretty tired of the Joe and Eva show.

Kamilla isn't my favorite. People making death threats over a show need to have their cable cut..

I can't remember if it was Mitch or Kyle who said you make your move at six. No you don't. You make your move at seven so you don't risk a tie and going to rocks. If they had gotten rid of Joe or Eva last week, they would have gone from the bottom four at the totem pole to the top four. This group makes my blood boil - they are so infuriating.

So I’m a little slow at this game but when Jeff asked if anyone had an idol to play and Shahin didn’t step up, was that when Joe found out he was played?

Shahin didnt have an idol. Kyle and Kamilla made that up to make Joe not trust him.

Joe could still have thought he had an idol and just didnt play it. It wouldnt be until after the game was over that he would find out

I’m not sure that Joe figured out he was played. Like Pamy says, Joe could’ve just thought Shauhin decided not to play it. I guess we’ll see next week when they show the fallout from voting out Shauhin.

I don't think Joe figured it out at all. He just probably thought that Shauhin was like other survivor players to were blindsided. I don't think that Joe's personality would allow him to think that his power of methodically figuring things out would allow him to think he was played. He is always bragging to the camera that he takes his time and he figures out what is going on. It will be interesting to see how next week plays when they get back to camp.

Yeah but most idols have to be played at either F5 or F6 so if he had an idol, it wouldn't have hurt him at all to play it.

I think he’ll learn about it when or If Kamilla or Kyle make it to the final tribal. I think that’s when Shauhin will learn about it, as well. Right now, Shauhin just thinks he was voted out because he was a threat to win it all. He doesn’t know that he was played expertly.

Late to the party, but agree Shauhin was a good sport. Agree about Mitch -- not willing to make a move. He needs to go next. Kamilla and Kyle are still who I am rooting for. So crazy that no effort was made to brake up Joe and Ava, nor to flush her idol. Lame game play.
