On CBS Sunday Morning they did a segment on Survivor. They showed a lot of behind the scenes stuff. It's worth watching if you can find it online.

Great start!!! In our game Sai was my pick to go home because reading her bio I got the feeling she would rub people the wrong way. I was right but didnt guess her finding an idol LOL
I LOVE Joe!!! I cried seeing him and Eva bond. What a stand up guy he is!

I am here and watched it tonight.
AND I also learned during the commercials that a NEW Amazing Race starts next week!!! I had NO idea.
Kevin is going to be a force.
Sai played WAY too hard.
Stephanie also played WAY too hard but in a way she did not recognize at first. Her belief that she was the most smart and savvy one there somehow translated to somehow condescending, which she was, and Sai somehow caught onto it.
I ALWAYS say the person who wins is the person who deserves to win (except for maybe Percepia? that woman who came out of nowhere?).

I loved this first episode because I liked all the players except for Sai. I really wanted her to go home but was okay with it being Steph. Watching Steph slow walk during the puzzle for immunity as if she had all the time in the world was nerve wracking. I predict Sai will be next to go on that tribe. If they keep her, it will be for her to be a shield as no one will enjoy working with her.
I thought Sai was the condescending one during tribal when there was no reason for it.

I wish they did not play the background music during the Tribal Council. I had to turn on my closed caption too now what they were saying.

I wonder how they pick the teams. It seems purple is stacked with strength and green has weaker players. Seems they could have split up the guys that make up the "CA girls" alliance

Really not a fan of Sai either. And she had so much help with the cypher but acted like she did it all on her own. Boo. I'm so glad Survivor is back!
The little videos of them telling people they made the show-- I didn't really need those. I'd rather learn more about what they are doing on the island.

What dumb choices. I mean who cares about the colors?? Especially because they are basically the same as always…
I’d rather have these choices:
Regular hidden immunity idols vs beware ones
39 days vs 21 days (or however many days they have currently)
Include many more older contestants vs the majority of them being 40 or under

I finally got to watch last night. TV is hard because the woman I rent from is irritated by any noise, but she left for Hong Kong yesterday so I watched 2 episodes of Survivor, 1 of Amazing Race and 1 of Ghosts last night.
In Episode one, not a fan of Sai. Yes to Joe and Eva!

Sea, do you have your own room and a laptop or tablet? And does she have an internet connection? You can just watch tv streaming on the various channels with earpods in and not make a peep.

Agree with Juju, use EarPods or headphones. Even though I have what they claim to be the smallest size ear pods, my ears still ache after a small amount of time using them, so I usually use wireless headphones.

Talk about starving: anyone remember way back when: season 2? They truly didn’t have food and then a flood washed away most of their camp when they were at a challenge? Including their only food source which was a tin of rice and their fishing hooks? (Australia had no vegetation)

Yes, Tina and (I think) Keith were the ones who went in the creek for the rice. Which was rather dangerous.
