Sue looked very happy for Rachel. For the first time, the player that I wanted to win actually won.

Sue looked beautiful at tribal. So impressed at how well she did in that final challenge!

Survivor 47 was so fun to watch! The final tribal was intense, especially with Teeny & Sam building their fires. If the wind had blown the other way, I believe Teeny's fire would have torched the string before Sam's. Sue washed her face and looked so pretty. I'm certainly impressed with what she had done over the season with being 58/59 years old. She surprised all the castaways when she told them it was her birthday and her given age. I'm glad Rachel won. Sam might have had a chance if he wasn't so arrogant during the jury questioning. Bring on Survivor 48 in the Spring!

If Teeny was in final 3 Rachel would have gotten all the votes. It was a great season!

Teeny did take a hard loss... she had that fire challenge won except for the dang wind. It's interesting that people think Sam was arrogant, I thought both Sam and Rachel were a bit pushy trying to get their own narrative out. Rachel interrupted Sam a few times, which was also very rude. I do wonder if there was a lot we didn't see, since he only got one vote. But even Jeff complimented Sam on how he made his case, and Rachel said she was worried, so I do think he must have done well even in anything we didn't see. I was surprised that Sue was almost entirely ignored, like no one questioned her because they weren't even considering voting for her.

I thought Sam did very well at the final TC so I was a little surprised he only received one vote.

I wonder if Teeny would have been allowed to stand up and get in front of the wind during the fire challenge.

I had the exactly same question. Found out they are required to sir in the chair to make fire according to the Survivor rules.

I thought Sam did well in questioning, but was arrogant in dismissing Rachel's wins. I mean, he is the classic Survivor Bro, but only won fire with help of the wind. (and indeed that was a key win and he was persistent and didn't give up.. ) Kind of too bad his only vote was because "I like this dude", but it won him second place money. Anyway, I am quite happy!!

The editors did a great job of keeping us in suspense thinking Sam may have won over the Jury! I think the jury respected Sue as a loyal and older player, but in no way saw her as a winner, making moves and being strategic (since she was never a target). I'm so happy the player that I wanted to win did -- that never happens! She was very deserving.

I'm sure they just edited out a lot of Sue's q/a since she was a 0 vote finalist.. I doubt she could have out talked the other 2 anyway

But Rachel did give Sue the chance and guaranteed her 3rd place money, so there is that.

I finally watched the show today. Happy that Rachel won. I didn't think Sam was that bad. He did his share of eye rolling and so did Rachel. They were fighting for a million bucks. Sue was of no consequence and I think everyone, including Sue knew she had no chance. Teeny got screwed with the fire, I wonder how they chose seats since Jeff said it was up to them to decide. They didn't show how the decision was made, just showed the two of them going to their seats. I think the jury asked good questions.

I don't know if Teeny got screwed bythe fire. It seems she did not keep an eye on Sam. he started better whenhe started pilling the grass high inthe center and Teeny was still using sticks onthe out of center.

another happy viewer for a Rachel win. Way to win the immunity challenge and then win it all! And i swear, she looks so different with glasses on ... its like clark kent/superman....without glasses in challenges, she is this beast.

I wanted Teeny and Sam to be able to stand during the fire challenge because I thought the wind was going to blow the fire at them and set their shirts on fire! Seriously dumb rule when fire is involved! So happy with the outcome of this season! I really enjoyed this cast with the exception of Rome. I still want Survivor to go to 39 days though.

I finally got to watch (we never get to watch on the actual show night). I'm very happy with the winner. It wasn't a surprise and that is a good thing in a way. I thought that Rachel played an incredibly good all around game. I will say that Sam did make it a little interesting at the end. He had a big comeback with the fire (and some luck) and his case to the jury was surprisingly strong, though he was clearly fighting an uphill battle he couldn't win. Sue played a loyal steady game and got the "outlasted" part right but that obviously only gets you third place. Amazing performance though for someone her age. I love that as Survivor has aged, players seem much clearer that it is a game and there is much less bitterness at the end unlike what we often saw in the earlier seasons. Great season overall!

Oh, Teeny definitely did not win fire-making because of the wind and her position in the more windy spot. Had their positions been reversed, Teeny would have won before Sam even got his lit.
