Well, that's 90 minutes of my life I'll never get back. All of this to be back at square one, with Bhanu still there.

His was rightfully excluded from the fake idol gambit because he spills his guts at TC like he's in group therapy. He thinks an idol will be under a coconut? Has he ever watched Survivor? He is just exhausting and sucks up all the oxygen in the show.

I would love to know more about Hunter before they kick him out for being too good at Survivor. He looks like such an interesting guy, but we mostly get Bhanu crying. Ugh! The other tribes get no airtime, as they waste most of the show on the poor downtrodden purples, who get an unearned miracle over someone else's misfortune.

Yes...I am a bit frustrated.

Ugh. Bhanu is so frustrating. He does not win my heart thinking god caused an injury, dashing someone's dream just so Bhanu, with the loosest lips ever.. And he got no information from the other two about their tribes! Just spilled all the beans his tribe never earned.

Maybe he is playing for Sia money, but hopefully that won't happen.

Yeah, total frustration.

OMG, Hunter's house clip was startling, but also like the perfect glimpse into the life of a Super, Fan. Like US, if we had given up full scholarship to the best medical school.

Sheesh, hope he wins.

I am still processing - Hunter's house!! The puzzles!!!

Hunter could turn out to be the most interesting player we have ever had on Survivor.

I agree with everything all of you said. This was a most frustrating episode. Who says "I'm not here to win $1 million"? Who??? I was actually pissed off that we didn't have tribal last night.

And Hunter... OMG. He's next-level super-fan and I'm here for it.

I still think Sia Money, but shouldn't say this so soon, or ever.

When did they start having three tribes? I guess I've been spoiled by watching old seasons when there were just two, which seemed to work out just fine. There are not enough people for three tribes. Who thought this was a good idea? I don't like it. Is it a 'new era' thing?

They need to go back to the 'old era'.

People play for Sia money? What the hell? I know you can't tell anyone what to do with their money, but this seems like outside interference in the game.

I love Hunter too. I hope he manages to stay under the radar.

I’m done with Bhanu. He has no idea what he is doing and I’ll never understand how he managed to get through the whole application process.

Sigh, ditto to all of the above.

I'm thinking they're afraid of how much we might grow to dislike some of them if we see too much of them, lol.

Wackadoodles didn't win.. they totally lucked out due to a very unfortunate medical problem.

Definitely not a win.

https://survivor.fandom.com/wiki/Tribe#Overview

That link has more than I had imagined possible about numbers of tribes in various seasons. 2, 3, even 4..

But the last several seasons, since 41 have started with three tribes. I didn't realize how much I had forgotten!!!

As for Sia money.. that is just a guess that some people figure they have something that she would like.. usually some sort of story, which Bhanu has, but it helps if they are kind to animals and usually they make it fairly far into the season if not to the finale. I don't know if Bhanu has thought of this or not and have to say if he has thought of it, I would expect for him to blurt it out. I hope he's not as exhausting in real life.

I guess IF someone was playing for the Sia money, it would be like on Big Brother where some people seem to bank on getting fan favorite money.

Thanks for that link, Sea. I had no idea the number of tribes varied this much. I thought there were just 2 or 3.

The TWO tribes format is the way to go, IMO. WHY do they have to change anything? Just like BB, production cannot help themselves. They have to mess with a successful format until the whole idea is destroyed.

Isn’t it odd that on both Survivor and Big Brother, they endlessly mess with the format and challenges and rules, but the script stays exactly the same.

“Come on in guys”
I’ll tally the votes”
“The tribe has spoken”
“But first”
“As head of household, you are not allowed to vote…”

Why do they change EVERYTHING ELSE, except the boring, repetitive dialogue? After more than 2 decades, you would think they might want to shake it up a bit.

I guess separate immunity and reward challenges went the way of food and luxury comps on BB.

Geez! They know what we want. They just don’t want to give it to us.

Bhanu is truly driving me nuts. They need to stop featuring him. It ruins the show. For most people it just sounds like a lot of whining and no strategy at all. I don't even think he's strategic enough to try for SIA money! How they selected him, I don't know. SMH

Anyone have young children or grandchildren who watch? I'm wondering if they are trying to cater to them with so much Bhanu. I can't see how any tried and true fan would want to watch him.

I agree - whether we like Bahanu as a person or not, he so doesnt belong on the island. So not a Survivor player.

...also I feel that he's entirely unfit to be on the show. It seems like they are purposely featuring someone who is mentally deficient or incapable of understanding the strategic side of the game. If they think that his confessionals are funny, they are sadly mistaken.

Ditto to all of the above. I have complained about the "new era" for the last several seasons. I absolutely hate it but this is a Jeff Probst thing - he's the executive producer.

I would:
1. Bring back "Come in GUYS"
2. Stop the Sweat v. Savvy Comp at beginning of game. Another terrible Jeff idea
3. Start giving them rice
4. Give them tools at beginning of game so they can build a shelter.
5. STOP taking flint from the losers of the IC
6. STOP with the journeys/beware advantages- keep it limited to Immunity Idols only!!!
7. Do NOT make the Final 5 START OVER AGAIN at a new camp!!

These are just off the top of my head - I'm sure there are more things I could complain about when it comes to Jeff's production of the show.

I absolutely agree with not taking away their flint. They need to be able to cook rice, at a minimum.

Agreeing about the rice and flint. A weak tribe is not fun to watch, especially when it’s the same damn tribe!

Taking flint from an already losing group, just makes them lose more, which is why this one tribe is getting decimated.

They should do the opposite and assist the losing tribe so that they are at least competitive in these extremely physical competitions.
