Survivor 41 has been cast (all newbies - and NO Edge of Extinction). They have to undergo a 14-day quarantine in Fiji (cast and crew) and then they can start filming. There most likely will not be a family visit this go-round because of the quarantine. They are still shooting for a September premiere date (but I wouldn't be surprised if it is October). But at least we've got something!

hmmm. this was posted just yesterday so ... maybe it wont be Survivor as usual in fall.. 
Despite the Fijian government putting in place new COVID-19 safety measures for film productions, Survivor‘s forty-first season is still a long way off from filming.
According to Inside Survivor sources, season 41 will not begin production until AT LEAST September, and even that remains up in the air. This comes after filming was initially postponed back in March until mid-May before eventually been shut down indefinitely in early April after the World Health Organization declared coronavirus a pandemic.

I just don't see how they can have a September premiere date like Jim is reporting. Then the crew/dream team has to set up the challenges (after they come out of their quarantine). Then they are out there for another 39 days for filming. I think even getting it on the air in October is a stretch. I'd be shocked if this is on the air before November.

And they will finally air the 2018 season of TAR in Survivor's place.
I just didn't see how they could get a season on the air by September or October like JE was reporting.

If they could have gotten filming started, they could edit rapidly if needed (other versions have briefer windows between filming and airing than the US). They just couldn’t get filming started and won’t be able to for a while...

Yeah but they didn't. By the time JE reported about filming and the show being on by September/October, they hadn't even left yet for Fiji to begin quarantine.

we had fun. there were 27 tables and for the first 40 mins I played at a table with Adam. He was on fire! Bill and I lasted for over an hour but lost. There were 237 players and we went out 161 and 163rd. Bummed we didnt last longer, it was fun!
