Parvati's Recaps 'Survivor: Blood vs. Water': Double Elimination, Double Trouble Moving right along to our brothers yogi: Vytas and Aras. These boys have been playing really well individually. Now that they’ve merged, they become public enemy number one. As if they don’t have a big enough target on their backs, they go ahead and dominate the first individual immunity challenge. In the showdown for who has the greatest memory, Vytas takes the prize -- a sweet immunity necklace that keeps him safe for the night. Both boys feel incredibly safe. Aras has made friends with nearly everyone in the game and Vytas has the necklace. What could go wrong? http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/survivor-blood-water-parvati-shallow-654203

Article about Arass engagement: Survivor's Aras Baskauskas Is Engaged to Girlfriend Christy Petersen Aras Baskauskas may have been sent to Redemption Island on last week's episode of Survivor, but things are certainly looking up in his personal life. During an romantic sunset on the beach, Baskauskas surprised his girlfriend of four years, Christy Petersen, with an engagement ring. Petersen, a model and clothing designer, had just finished a photo shoot on Saturday afternoon in Big Sur for her women's line, DAWN. At the end of the shoot, she and Baskauskas, 32, sat on a rocky outcrop to watch the sun set into the Pacific Ocean. As dusk fell, Baskauskas dropped on one knee and proposed, presenting her with a handmade ring by jewelry designer Jessica Seaton. The ring, set in rose gold, sports a sliced diamond surrounded by smaller diamonds. Although Petersen was surprised by the proposal, Baskauskas had been planning it for several weeks, and made sure that a photographer was on hand to snap photos of the moment. When he's not competing on Survivor, Baskauskas is a singer/songwriter who performs under the name Odd Us. Despite his comfort in the limelight, he admits to being a bit tense before he popped the question. "I didn't think I'd be nervous," he tells PEOPLE, "but when push came to shove, I was super nervous." Fortunately, his nerves were all for nothing. "She said yes," he says, "and we celebrated that night over Mexican food and margaritas!" 20754335%2C00.html,http://www.people.com/people/article/0,,20754335,00.html

Maybe it would be good to open a new thread for this, so everyone can chat about it? And not clog up the "Non-chat" thread. Longbeachfan, it's easy to set up a new thread. I do it all the time. Just look at the bottom for "Start New Thread"

Coby Archi, Survivor Palau, posted this on this FB today: Todd Herzog Survivor Winner China Prayers.... November 11, 2013 at 6:46am Sad but true that reality television is a reality of human nature. The highs and the lows of our lives play out before us on a weekly basis. Watching old mailmen get along with young gay professionals or straight Christian ladies who get to know a redneck from Alabama they might not ever have encountered otherwise. This is why I love reality Tv not for the Villians of late celebrated by some of the bigger shows like the one I was on. Human nature is what is love not just the Villian. I met Todd as a young superfan shortly after I appeared on Survivor Palau. He waited for hours like many other fans in line in the hot Florida sun. He was young, tiny, outragesly gay. He asked for tips on how to audition and get noticed. I as always, talked to him as long as he wanted, gave him my tips and wished him well. As we all know he went on to not only be cast but to beat me to win as the ultimate Survivor of China. A few years later he was talking to me and was kind enough to credit me for helping him get cast. This is how Todd is. We have meet only a handful of times in the years since. At the same charity events I watched Todd treat fans the way I did, have them as much time as they wanted. At the events we attended I noticed we got further apart but I assumed it was because of age partly. I was pushing 40 with a daughter at home, he was just falling in love. I own a salon while he was getting his license to do hair. I saw a lot of myself in Todd but always gave him the space to be young and have fun. He was also dating Spencer Duhm and I didn't want to be perceived as starting drama between these two very young attractive wild gay things. So I gave him....space. Let's fast forward to today. Spencer and Todd have broken up. And Todd is in a very sad rabbit hole of addiction and darkness with alcohol. He just got a Intervention from Dr Phil last week and is getting help as we speak. I think it airs Nov 19th. I think fame and money at a young age can be very dangerous much less layered on top of other issues unseen. Reality Tv can mess with your mind muh less a young one. Unlike at those parties where I stood across the room and didn't comment today I will. Todd you gave me credit for helping you start your achievement of Survivor by planting a seed of hope. So here I go again. I am digging the dirt, pulling back the roots and placing a tiny seed inside the darkness of hope. Todd you are a amazing person. Strong. Powerful and full of life. You remind me of myself in many ways and that isn't pumping my own ego. You are not alone and I know you can beat this. You are going on 30 so now I can say, life is more than a party. You have SO much to offer....a lover, a child, your family and your friends. YOU are worth more than this. I have seen your kindness and compassion and THAT is who you really are. Do not beat yourself up if you have 'spent away' the last few years emotionally and finiancially. I don't know that your money is gone but I assume that it is. I have seen your generosity in action. Guess what? I have dusted myself off and rebuilt my life many times over. YOU too can rebuild. So forgive yourself while you dig deep to discover what it is inside you that has gone wrong. Don't let the Villian inside you win. You are a Hero. Remember if you can, the innocent boy stuck in the Florida sun full of hope and wonderment who has dreams and goals and MADE them happen. He did it once and can do it again. H.E.R.O. Remember Villians may be remembered but the Heros always win the game! ;) Even though you have obviously past the teacher in Survivor young grasshopper I offer you again my time, my love and my attention if and when you need it. I want any fan or friend of Todd's to write him a note here. If it is anything rude I will delete it. This is a love and support thread only. I unlike Todd, am not always a Hero and I will tear you up if you do not respect! http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=PcHIIyqSr5E&desktop_uri=%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DPcHIIyqSr5E

'Survivor': Jeff Probst and former contestants to help raise money for Typhoon Haiyan relief in the Philippines Survivor host Jeff Probst and some of the show’s contestants that competed in the Philippines are now doing their part to help raise money for the country that was hammered by Typhoon Haiyan. Probst and former players like Lisa Whelchel, John Cochran, Malcolm Freberg, Phillip Sheppard, and Jonathan Penner will be participating in a CBS television stations – Red Cross fundraiser for victims of Typhoon Haiyan that will be taking place on CBS-owned TV stations in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Sacramento on Wednesday, Nov. 13. Probst and the contestants will be speaking and answering phones to raise money for the American Red Cross relief effort. In addition, Probst is recording a Red Cross PSA for victims of Typhoon Haiyan that will air immediately after Wednesday’s episode of Survivor and direct people to the Red Cross to donate. Survivor is currently airing the third out of four seasons that were shot consecutively in the Philippines. Fall 2012’s Survivor: Philippines and spring 2013’s Survivor: Caramoan — Fans vs. Favorites were both shot in Caramoan, while the current Blood vs. Water installment as well as next spring’s season (which was filmed over the summer) were shot in the Cagayan province. http://insidetv.ew.com/2013/11/12/survivor-jeff-probst-typhoon-haiyan-philippines/

Jeff is on "Two and a Half Men" tonight. 'Survivor's' Jeff Probst talks 'Two and a Half Men,' and the Aras-Vytas dynamic On Aras and Vytas: "I think they are probably representative of a lot of older/younger brother relationships. Having two brothers myself, I found their relationship very compelling. ... I truly hope they are able to heal their relationship and become closer as a result of this experience. It's clear that's what Aras wants -- the question is whether or not Vytas is ready for it." On Tina joining the brothers at Redemption Island: "I like Redemption this season because I think it offers a lot of strategic opportunities and a place for players to air dirty laundry and maybe even make up things that aren't true. I also like second chances. But it doesn't matter to me who is there-- one is going home, two stay and the game continues. I know you question this, as you question a lot of things, but honestly, we are producing the show and going with the flow and just trusting in the casting and the format to do their job. It's worked for 27 seasons! (Well, most of them anyway!)" On his "Two and a Half Men" appearance: "I had so much fun. I got a call on Monday asking if I could shoot on Thursday. I said yes before they could also tell me that I'd be naked. Or nearly naked -- tiny little underwear is all I was given. When CBS ran a promo during CBS football, they actually painted on hilarious white underwear. I guess because it was daytime and they thought I might be offensive. I've been assured there isn't the same censorship at 9:30 p.m. on Thursdays when 'Two and a Half Men' airs! So to answer to your question -- no shirt, no pants, no baseball cap." http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2013/11/survivors-jeff-probst-talks-two-and-a-half-men-and-the-aras-vytas-dynamic.html?track=zap2it-email-newsletter-November142013
