I saw the Met Gala clothes 3-4 weeks ago? They were indeed astounding. I hoped the celebrities wearing them only had to be in them for a couple hours, long enough for them to be photographed, and hopefully they had gone to the bathroom just before their appearances.

I have heard that some change clothes after they get inside so they can have the dinner. I hope they have really good food for all that work. But what do they do inside, is there entertainment, speakers, arts and crafts, LOL?

So I went and asked the question and Co-Pilot said this.... Inside the Met Gala, guests explore the Costume Institute exhibition, enjoy a cocktail reception, sit down for a meticulously planned dinner, watch a surprise performance, and then attend after-parties. Confirmed by https://www.cosmopolitan.com/entertainment/celebs/a71138199/what-happens-inside-met-gala/

Every morning I say Alexa Good Morning and she tells me something. Today she said Today is Ice Cream for Breakfast Day, the only downside is grapenuts for dessert. Hahahahaha

I need help remembering the name of a shopping website. It's like Carol Wright Gifts, but they try to put more of a health spin on it and the name starts with "Dr". Any ideas?

So I’m not sure where to post this because it might seem a bit strange to some. Anyhow, I found out yesterday that my ex-wife passed away May 23 while we were on our cruise. We’ve been separated/ divorced for 30 years and had no children so no real contact. I was surprised how it actually hit me, not really mourning or grief but still a sense of loss. The psychologist part of me says regardless of how our marriage ended she was once a significant person in my life for 16+ years. Part of it is what drove me to be a psychologist is that I care deeply for people, maybe sometimes too much. While we parted on less than friendly terms I never hated her, hate for me is an extreme emotion that I avoid. I don’t know much about her passing other than her sister posting on Facebook that she had passed after a long and apparently sometimes painful illness. Leads me to believe it was some type of cancer. I wouldn’t wish that on anybody and I’m sorry to hear she went through that. Rest in peace Mary.

Sincere condolences Mack, on the sad news. Finding out about Mary's passing would certainly be akin to a shocking gut-punch. I commend you for your positivity, honoring the sweet times, before things soured. Gentle hugs 🫂

Sorry to hear that Mack. When my sister’s ex husband passed, she experienced similar feelings.

I'm so sorry, Mack I've been through something similar, but it was the person I was with 4 years before I met my dearly departed husband.

So sorry, Mack. It is hard being conflicted in a situation like that. Peace to you and the family.

Sometimes it’s hard to know what to feel but I think you expressed your thoughts beautifully there, Mack.

A bit of an update…..Mary passed from a severe case of Alzheimer’s. Onset was three years ago and it affected her both physically and mentally. Apparently she spent the better part of the last two years in a nursing home and then hospice at the end. Her niece and I were once very close but my ex-wife’s family objected so rather than be an issue I stepped back. We talked today and she filled me in. We will stay in contact now.

Is someone able to help me shop for something I am having trouble fining? I would be eternally grateful. I have a wagon wheel chandelier in the room next to the garage, and when I was changing the bulb, I dropped the glass shade. Here are photos. The glass shade is 8.5 inches tall, and the opening at the bottom is 2.5 inches. Big enough to go over the bulb.
Thank you!

We had that happen and found a lamp and lighting company in town that was able to match the glass shade. Because the frosting was a bit off we replaced the other five so it was a complete match. It wasn’t very expensive at all, like less than $10 per shade if that much.

ah ha! I found it. Once I learned what it's actually called, I found a couple places to get it online. It's called a glass hurricane or chimney shade. https://antiquelampsupply.com/products/..../
