I was perusing some old threads and wonder what happened to some people who used to post quite regularly. Wargod who I believe was also a moderator. There was someone called Godessatlaw.
There are more, just can't quite remember the names but I did enjoy their posts.
Of course it isn't surprising that people come and go over the years. I've been hear nearly 25 years.
I know some have passed away, Theowl and Landileigh.

Goddessatlaw is alive and well in Phoenix, I think. She is friends with some of us on Facebook.
Not sure what became of Wardog (I always called her Wardog, and she didn't mind) or when she vanished. She should be a grandmother by now, as her kids were young teenagers when we met them in Lancaster, CA, perhaps 15-20 years ago. I bet she gave us up for grandmotherhood.

I hope Goddessatlaw and Colossus us are well.
I just posted in Juju's folder that Moondance was scheduled to have surgery today that potentially could involve a stent, which she does not want.
I only see her on Instagram where she isn't a frequent poster..

Does anybody know what kind of bug this is? I got the tape measure as close to it as I could and it seems to be almost 3.5 inches long. It's been sitting there a long time. Those two dots make it seem like it has giant eyes.

The $15 a month plan looks attractive, with unlimited talk and text and 5 GB data per month. I am still using Tracfone, and have a VERY inexpensive annual plan with unlimited text and talk on my phone, and lots of texts and minutes on Bigdog's, and they roll over, but maybe only 5 GB data per year, but then we live in an urban area and almost always have wi-fi available one way or another.
I have to admit I was jealous when we were on the recent 5-week land/sea trip to Asia, and all the savvy travelers had data and phone and text from their home providers at no extra charge, BUT I reminded myself they are paying MUCH higher monthly fees than I do.

I still have have tracfone as well, but the closest they have to the new place's $15 5 gig/mo plan ($180/yr) is Tracfone's 4 gig/mo plan at $192/yr.
They really do have great prices.

So I was watching Expedition Files and they were going into a cave where there were large boulders that could fall down. They say to the host about the boulders, Yes, your helment is just to preserve your dental records.
I burst out laughing, thought it was so funny.

Naja, keep me posted if you decide to transfer from Tracfone to something else. Twinkie used to check out all the best cell phone carriers and deals, but alas, she left us much too soon.

Sam's club accidentally sent me one with a whole case of the diet iced tea cartridges. What didn't come was the laundry detergent.
Since just the case of cartridges cost 3x more than the detergent, I decided to keep it. It's pretty cool, but a little bit of a pain. It has a dial where you can go from 0 sipping just plain water, to 10 sipping super strong iced tea.
One cartridge is supposed to last for 6 bottles of water. The bottle I got is 32oz.
A weird thing is I can't find this particular size of bottle or this flavor of cartridges on the Sam's Club website. But it came in the same giant box with my other laundry stuff.

I am waiting with bated breath for them to post some photos of the inside of this little house. It's so hard to find little one story houses with attached garages and no basement around here. I want zero stairs.
The size of the yard is perfect for my dog business, and it would need minimal landscaping to look nicer.

The thing I don't like so far is that there's no mail delivery to individual houses on that street. There just one big mailbox thing like inside an apartment building. And it's right in front of the little house. I don't like this at all.

Unfortunately cluster mailboxes are pretty much the norm now. My last two houses, one in Virginia and now our house here in Texas, have cluster boxes. In both cases they were and are in kind of dead spaces between houses so not a distraction. Since we live in a gated and guarded community we haven’t had any trouble but boxes in non-gated communities have become theft targets.

Does anybody have any experience Allstate car and home insurance? I just got an online quote and they coming in quite a bit less than my last State Farm bill. Has anybody had trouble with them?

Nevermind. My StateFarm homeowners bill actually went down $37 instead of going several hundred up like the reports were saying. I think it's in other parts of the country where it's going up. So I'm not switching this time around.
