Here is a quick post to help new players who want to join the TVCH Yahoo Pick'em pool.
It's a little rough, but hopefully has enough to get new players registered with Yahoo and connected to the private group.

Once logged in you can go to:

From there you are looking for a link to "join a group".
Since I am already in the group, I can't get the exact path.
But you want to get to a screen that looks like:

Mr. Weiner and anyone else,
there is still time to join the Yahoo Pick'em league.
Even if you miss the Thursday or Friday games, you only lose out on te 1 and 2 point picks.
3-16 are still available.
Ask here if you need help registering and joining league. Someone will help you.

I'm here and in, but my old brain doesn't remember what I'm supposed to do. In my defense, last year I ended up hospitalized on 9/13, and then on medical leave after that, so I was only in a couple of weeks.

You go in and select your picks to win. On the right side it says Confidence Points. you select a # for each team. This week there are 16 games so you would give the team you think is a for sure win 16 points. The 2nd team you think will most likely win you give 15 points and so on. YOu would give 1 point to the team you aren't so sure if they will win or not. You can only use the # once per week so you cant give 2 teams 16 points.
then at the bottom of the page there are a few questions, answer those and then at the bottom click on save picks. At the top you will see in green the word COMPLETE. That tells you that you have answered everything properly and you are done. You can change your picks up until game time. I usually make my picks a couple days before so I dont forget. Then I will go back in the day before and see if there is anything I want to change.

also if you hover your mouse over the words at the top that say TVCH WhoamiConfpool you will see a drop down of things you can see about other players picks. Prior to game time you will only see the players and little -- if they have made picks. After the game starts then you can see who everyone picked and how many points they gave that team.

ps after you have clicked to see group picks etc and you want to go back to see your picks then just click on your name at the top
fyi no one uses the message board there. We talk about it here
