I was just at Best Buy picking up a new receiver for our outdoor music and stopped by their gaming desktop computer section. Got talking to the guy covering that area and I mentioned the Klugway V. Told him I was curious to see what it would have cost to buy off the shelf. We went over the specs of my build and he showed me their closest match…..$2,500. My rebuild cost $1,000 all in. 😀

I hope you compensated yourself appropriately for the labor.

And in the meantime, I am coaching 86 year-old widows in (almost) full control of their faculties how to use the $25 wireless mini-boom-box speakers (that I bought) with the (probably also mine) obsolete android phones, to play the water aerobics tape that my husband put on the obsolete phone music app, so that they can have a fun water aerobics session when I am out of the country. Mack, how soon can you get out here? It's Pacific Northwest, always cool. Life is good.

There are times I miss the Pacific Northwest but not enough to move back there.

Bwahahaha, that too, Kooklie. Took me a minute to get it. I do find the older women to be inspirational.

Back to Windows 11…. So far I like it though there is a bit of a learning curve from years of using Windows 10. It seems to be much smoother and faster though admittedly I have also upgraded the whole system as posted above. I think it really helps that I did a clean install of Windows 11 on an SSD that have not been used before. The version of Windows 10 I was running on the old system was actually a multi-generation of upgrades probably from Windows 7. That means it was full of basically old operating system files that just took up space or had a bunch of “go to” code to bypass old aspects of Windows 7 and how even many Windows versions up to Windows 10. Of course Windows 10 lasted for a long time and had a boat load of updates, corrections to updates, etc., etc. All in all despite the expense I am happy with the outcome.

LOL, there is definitely a learning curve. I search google a lot to say where is xxxx in word or excel, took me a while to figure out how everything moved around. I do use Editor now, don't know if is was in 10 only found it with 11, for all the minutes and newsletters I prepare. I really like it.
