WWE Wrestling Star Michael "Virgil" Jones Dead at 61
WWE star Michael Jones—who wrestled under the ring names Virgil, Soul Train Jones, Vincent and Curly Bill—died on Feb. 28 at the age of 61.
A cause of death was not given, though Jones struggled with his health in recent years. In 2022, he shared on X (formerly known as Twitter) that he was diagnosed with an early stage of dementia and had suffered two strokes.

Iris Apfel, the influential fashion icon and interior decorator who helped restore the White House for nine presidents, has died at age of 102.
In 2018, at age 96, Apfel appeared on "TODAY" to talk about recent trends and what constitutes style. She was interviewed at Bergdorf Goodman in New York City.
She called ripped denim “insanity” and criticized those who wear athletic clothes for everyday activities, saying, “Athletic wear should be worn at the gym.”
She said those with style are expressive and self-aware.

Janice Burgess, the Emmy-winning creator of Nickelodeon's The Backyardigans, has died. She was 72.
According to The New York Times, Burgess died Saturday in hospice care in Manhattan. On Tuesday, Nickelodeon confirmed the screenwriter's death in a statement to ET.

That makes me sad. I liked Janelle and her kids. I saw something that his brother Gabe found him, an apparent suicide.
I'm behind episodes and just watched one last night where Garrison had bought a house and Gabe and maybe Christine's daughter Gwen were talking about moving in with him.

Steve Lawrence, Grammy and Emmy-Winning Entertainer, Dead at 88
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Lawrence died in Los Angeles Thursday of complications from Alzheimer’s disease.
Lawrence was one-half of the popular singing duo Steve and Eydie, which he formed with his late wife, two-time Grammy winner Eydie Gormé (who died in 2013). Together, they won a Grammy for their 1960 album, We Got Us.

M. Emmet Walsh, a character actor whose career spanned six decades, died on Tuesday of cardiac arrest, ET can confirm. He was 88.
According to his long-time manager, Sandy Joseph, Walsh died at Kerbs Memorial Hospital in St. Albans, Vermont.
The actor -- born on March 22, 1935 in Ogdensburg, New York, and raised in rural Swanton, Vermont -- is known for his work in theater, TV and film. He first made his onscreen debut in Alice’s Restaurant in 1969.
Of his other credits, Walsh portrayed Harrison Ford's Los Angeles Police Department boss in Ridley Scott's 1982 futuristic thriller, Blade Runner, and had a role in the Coen Brothers' 1984 movie, Blood Simple. He also played a corrupt local sheriff in the 1986 sci-fi horror film Critters, and was Dermot Mulroney's dad in the beloved 1997 rom-com My Best Friend's Wedding, starring Julia Roberts.
