Hmmmm ... really enjoying the ice dancing. Seems there is a lot more latitude with regard to their costumes. I know that the women's singles have to have that gauze stuff instead of bare skin. But I saw that one of the gals had a bare midriff.

“Endurance doping doesn’t have anything to do with ability.” False. If you’re taking it long term from an early age, think about how many more hours you can train, more reps you can do, more run-throughs etc. You’d get quicker results at a much faster rate than a clean athlete.

They have been showing repeats all week during the day but now we have soccer. Oh, soccer must be over we now have a repeat of the Cross Country, Alpine Sking and Free Skate.
Closing ceremonies are tonight (even tho they were actually live at about 2am, LOL)

One thing I found out that is really annoying is that No one will get their Team Medals from the Figure Skating until the final decision on the Russian girls case.
So there was no medal ceremony and the US Team wants their silver medal but there suit was dismissed so who knows how long before they get their medals.

With the skating scandal, got me thinking that the anorexia, brutal treatment, not drinking water is nothing new. We have know about it in gymnastics for decades. Why have they never talked about increasing the age? Do they care less or did someone have to cry after a doping test and a loss?

Sadiesmom, I did hear that there is conversation about raising the minimum age and I know there is investigation into the coach for the Russian girl.
Also, I read that she had one banned heart drug and 2 other not yet banned heart drugs on board so her story that she accidentally drank from a cup with her grandfathers medicine on "left over" seems highly suspect to me.

These Games had everything. Some euphoria and some heartbreak. Achieving personal bests and winning an Olympic medal, yet leaving empty-handed.
