Using Doordash for more deliveries.

I consider making toast preparing a meal.

Making almost all meals at home now. We used to go out to eat at least once per week before Covid. I do try to order from some favourite neighborhood restaurants once in a while though. I'm afraid many will go out of business.

We usually ate out once a week before Covid. It started when we got married and were both working and commuting to work together. With no children it was easy to stop on the way home for a couple of drinks and dinner for what we called “date night”. Even after I retired we still would go out pretty much every Friday. Come Covid and we haven’t eaten out since the first week in March. We’ve done some curbside pickup since March but not every week. We actually are experimenting with different recipes to bring more variety into our menu as we don’t think we’ll be eating out until maybe spring of next year at the earliest.

We rarely ate out so it has not changed much at all. We have ordered pizza a few times for delivery but most of our meals are home cooked.

Ordering in groceries (as if last week). Ordering dinner in about 2x a week from UberEats or local restaurants. And yes, spending more time in the kitchen, for sure. We used to eat out a few times a month and order in a lot too. I am by no means any relation to Betty Crocker. My basic culinary specialties are soups, stews, salads, and anything I can whip up in my George Foreman Roaster and Grill.

I was getting groceries by pickup (wait out in the parking lot for awhile), then went back to shopping. Now I'm back to pickup again. Got delivery once and it wasn't worth the price. Pickup sucks tho, because you can't price shop very easily or get something else easily if what you ordered is out.

I eat "out" more often now, by that I mean, I get pick up/curbside food. Trying to help local food places stay in business. I rarely ate out before, but now I get about once a week.

My eating and shopping habits haven't changed. I so rarely went out to eat before covid because the restaurants around me are overpriced and their food sucks.

Our eating habits have changed. We don't go out or get take out nearly as often any more. I have started using one of the meal ordering box delivery. (Good Food) I find it fairly good value and wonderful variety, easy to prepare. It has also taught me what a real serving is. So both Bob and I are eating much smaller portions.
My shopping habits have changed. I try not to go too often. Tried pick-up, but the date was almost a week later! That was at the height of the shutdown. My mom has very specific likes and dislikes for a lot of stuff. And she really likes to read labels. I take her out at least once a week, but we are afraid we will shutdown further soon. I will still go to her apartment and visit when I bring her groceries. (I worry about her mental health, if she's shut in and alone)
Sorry to be so long-winded.

Our eating hasn’t changed at all. I enjoy cooking (my DD is a great cook and baker as well) so we went from almost never eating out to not eating out at all. The only negative is my DD’s can’t spend time with their friends like they used to. But hey, it’s not forever.

Not really changed much. I went out more frequently for lunch, now I hardly ever do that. I have two friends who are basically home bodies like me so we try to go to dinner once a week. It has sort of turned into Sunday night dinner, LOL.

I have always done grocery delivery so that is the same.

For some reason I have been eating less, I used to cook a lot, now I only cook some and have really settled into some regular breakfast and lunch meals so only have to plan stuff for dinner.

Plus, I usually have restaurant leftovers for at least one meal, like today!

My eating habits haven't changed much. I normally would have gone out to lunch with friends a few times.

Not much change at our house. Bigdog takes care of Food Service in our house, the fixing. I handle Procurement. He does all of the cooking, I do most of the shopping. He cooks way better than most all of our local restaurants, and never seems to burn out on it. I don't mind shopping and am always coming up with different things for Bigdog to make magnificent. It could get a bit dicey now that WA State is going back to another 4-week semi-lockdown, so there will be lines at grocery stores. And I am getting a knee replaced Wednesday, and I will be immobile for a while, so may not be able to stand in lines. Oh wait! I "might" be driving in two weeks because it is my left knee. And the times I have had to stand in line, I always thought the old ladies on walkers should not stand in line and should just go in first. I will be an old lady on a walker! There's always a silver lining.

I didn't eat out that much, but miss being able to do that.

I am doing to go ordering more, for variety and to support some local restaurants, but mostly, I shop as before, but less often since most activities I attend are cancelled. I often stopped to shop on the way home.

I am eating more bad for me stuff by that is more because I am at home more and walking less.

Actually, yes. Before, we almost never ate out because I have so many food restrictions (IBS, lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, and a couple food allergies) it was just easier and healthier for me to cook at home.

When restaurants closed except for take out and delivery, we decided to do take out 2-3 times a month. We wanted to support local businesses. While I don't eat out all that often I also don't want to see them shut down due to things out of their control.

Juju, I am imagining you in one of those motorized shopping carts doing wheelies down the aisles and goosing young men with your gripper to get them out of your way to procure toilet paper and shouting "yippy kai yay" as you speed away down the aisle.

This is much more fun to imagine than you with a walker. :-)

And for those who don't know, I'm using the word gripper for that thing with a long handle with a claw at the end to reach and grab things out of arms length.

I have a gripper!! Yeehaw!!!

And, oh duh!!! I totally forgot about the motorized shopping carts. I broke my first and only bone ever, ankle, on day 3 of an 8 day rigorous International Police Association bus tour of the Canadian Rockies in 1987. Wore a walking cast for 5-6 weeks after I got home, and became a holy terror in those carts. Yay! Yet another silver lining!

I have three grippers, one by my chair, one in the garage and one upstairs. Rarely use them, but they come in handy, like when the tv remote flipped in back of my recliner, or one time when I was tossing trash and something important slipped and flipped into the dumpster.. something like my house key I think.

I borrowed a second gripper from a neighbor/friend today, decided I need one in both office and bedroom. I am already adept at turning on and off a light switch four feet behind my head. And I walked outside the house today, walked to neighbor's porch about 100' away, but it was something.

New question:

Do you subscribe to any streaming services in addition to (or instead of) regular network?
