He probably assumed someone would try to kill him in prison since convicts who commit crimes against children are the biggest targets for violence from fellow prisoners.

I've only just seen that he had child pornography charges against him. Yeah, he would not fare well in prison. Still very sad though, for many reasons.

He pled guilty...I guess he figured his life was over one way or the other.
Sad ending to the life of a talented young man...pornography is so insidious...and child pornography so reprehensible.

I actually don't even know who he is, but I can find sympathy for some child pornographers. In my agency, we had jurisdiction over some cases of child pornography, and would conduct search warrants and arrest people who dealt in child pornography. Many times these were sad young men with few social skills who themselves had been abused.
It was my experience that there are very few Jeffrey Epsteins and Donald Trumps out there. At least in the USA.

The police were looking for someone else when they came across him hanging in the woods. So strange. I was thinking about the fact that two of the male leads of Glee had died also. Fame and fortune sure doesn't bring happiness, does it?

So I have a question...in this excerpt from usmagazine.com they are talking about Mark Sailing having to pay $50,000 in restitution to the victim. Is the victim the child? Did he take the pictures or were they posted by another party? How do you find the victim? I'm in no way excusing HIS crime...I just found it odd that there was a victim (which of course they are but did Mark Sailing victimize this person (i.e., take the pictures and post them?) or did someone else?
The 35-year-old actor, who pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography involving a prepubescent minor in December 2017, was set to be sentenced on March 7. In October, he agreed to a plea deal that included four to seven years in jail. According to the court documents previously obtained by Us, Salling was also ordered to pay approximately $50,000 in restitution and register as a sex offender after his stint in jail.

Hmmm....Roxip, don't have a clue for sure but I thought that he just had the photos so the restitution would IMO just go to the general victims fund, not a specific person.
