I think it was Abbynormal who instigated The Great Sock Experiment. Not sure if he looked like Abe Lincoln, but somewhere along the line someone named him Abe The Sock.

Thanks, Whoami. Just seconds before I scrolled down to your post, I shouted out loud (in my head), well if it wasn't Abby7, then who (not Who) was it, and Abbynormal came to mind, and I was going to shout that as a probablilty. Oopsie, sorry, Abby7. But, you know, almost all of you Abby's are fascinating, whether you have sock cams going or not. So, um, carry on. As background, one day one of the Abbys exploded because there was a lone sock in her hallway, and after several days/weeks when the sock did not move because SHE vowed she was not going t pick it up, she started a watch on just how long that sock would stay in the hallway until the owner retrieved it. We reality junkies immediately jumped all over it and encouraged her to post daily pictures of the sock in the hallway. Come to think of it, we have not heard from Abbynormal in a reallllly long time ...

I was really surprised to find out that there is coffee in Red Eye gravy! I saw a great Bobby Flay Easter brunch, he did Ham, biscuits, scrambled eggs and red eye gray. Anyway, I am going to give it a try tomorrow.

The gravy wakes you up and gets the 'red' out of your eyes!

Well that was very yummy! I did the Bobby Flay recipe for ham/eggs/biscuits/gray and it was really easy and really good!

Sounds wonderful!! Coffee makes a great rub for beef too. Mix it with garlic powder, salt, pepper, oregano and rosemary.

New Q: Has anyone ever tried freezing tuna salad? I made some the other day and keep forgetting to eat it, not sure I can finish it off in the next two days so wondered if I could put it in the freezer.

Dipo, I wouldn't trust a tuna salad. If its been more than two days, out it goes. Mayanaise is part of the problem. It turns quickly. I believe that tuna turns faster then chicken. But it is the combination of mayanaise and tuna that I don't trust. If the tuna smells a little strong, it is already turning. That's just my opinion. ehehe

Thanks Treasure, it smells fine, it hasn't even been out of the fridge yet, I am just anticipating not being able to finish it off.

Mayo and freezers don't play nicely together.

I finally bought a butternut squash and cooked it. I like squash in general, so was hoping to be impressed. I was not. It was okay, but I would say nothing special. Reminded me of sweet potato. I'm sure it would work well with pumpkin also. Not worth the extra effort to me.

Oh, Heckagirl, I feel the same way about butternut squash, don't get the raves everyone has about it.

I like butternut squash, but I confess, I buy it already cubed and then either roast or saute it. Much easier.

New Q: Has anyone made marscapone mashed potatoes? I am trying it out before I make it for Thanksgiving and just wondered.

Never made mashed potatoes with marscapone but I did make mashed potatoes tonight with butter and milk. I'm guessing the marscapone would replace that. Let me know how it turns out cause mashed potatoes is one of the few foods I can eat.

Well, I used 4 oz of marscapone and 2 med potatoes, don't really notice them being much better. I tasted the marscpone and it tasted sort of like cream cheese. I like my cream cheese/sour cream mashed better, LOL.
