Harry Chapin's music was just awesome. I was in tears when he died too. I saw him about 3 or 4 times in concert before he was really 'big'. One time was in a high school gym. He was meeting and greeting all the people as we left the concert. The young women, of which I was one, got kisses from him.

I am so ready for some football!! I'm even going to watch the Hall of Fame game on Sunday just to hear football calls again! Lol. Who, are you running your football pool game again this season? If so, I'm definitely in! Will we play preseason for fun, like usual? Bob, will you be doing your pick 3 game this year? I hope so! I'm in for that one as well, of course!! Boy, it has been a long wait but it's almost here! Go Cowboys!!!

Hey Nino, you beat me asking that question by a day! I think we still have a Blue Collar team ready to suit up for another fun filled ride on WHO's roller coaster ... Riviere is working through some personal challenges, but I look to see her here ready by game one ...

Looks like the Jets have gotten off to a great start... Training camp injuries, even catastrophic ones, aren't uncommon in the NFL. But when you're talking about the New York Jets, the uncommon is an everyday occurrence. Case in point: Geno Smith, projected as the team's starting quarterback, has been injured in a locker room brawl and will miss 6 to 10 weeks with a broken jaw. Yes, really http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-shutdown-corner/jets-qb-geno-smith-gets-jaw-broken-in-locker-room-brawl--out-6-10-weeks-173608924.html

I'll be running it! Don't worry! I had today off, but ended up outside the house running errands all day. So not sure when I can set up. Might mean we miss a preseason week, but I'll get it going. Bear with me!

Awesome!! Who, I'll check back next week to see if you have it set up for preseason game 2. Bob, I'll be looking for your game as well in a couple of weeks! I can't wait! And, that's just a trip about poor Gino Smith!! And, then the Bills picked up the assailant for their training camp! There's no place for that kind of behavior in the NFL! I really wish no team would have picked him up to teach him a lesson! We'll see if he makes the roster for Buffalo. Those poor beleaguered Jets!

That poor Gino Smith? As for the other guy? I thought that the NFL had a thing right now for men hitting women!

I would kind of think someone hitting you hard enough to break your jaw constitutes assault! The other guy ought to be brought up on charges! I hear Gino was waving his finger in the other guy's face, but who knows how it really transpired. However, Gino is the one who has the injury and who'll be out for several weeks, so I do feel a bit sorry for him, even though I'm in no way a Jets fan. But if the other guy cold cocked Smith, he ought to suffer some consequences. Of course, everyone has their own opinions on the matter. I just stated mine.

Yay, Beach! It has actually flown by for me as well! I am so ready for football! I'm enjoying the preseason games and watching Hard Knocks which is featuring my second favorite team this year, the Houston Texans. Once we get Mamie onboard, we'll be ready for another season!

Looks like we'll have to wait till next week to start pre season play. I put my request in for the folders to be set up, but I'm sure with it also being Big Brother season, our Mods are very busy.
